I wanted to try out the latest version of Nero, since I've been using an older OEM version for some time now, so I decided to try their latest -- V9.something.
Big mistake! :sqerr:
First off, almost 400 MB download (370, but who's counting). That took about an hour.
Install took about 45 minutes
That was the easy part...
My nice new, high tech computer, slowed down to a crawl after install and a reboot. Sound cards (internal and external), randomly stopped working, and required a reboot when they did, to get them working again.
All I did, was rip and play one song, just to try out their latest efforts.
So, since the computer was hardly responding at all anymore, even after a couple reboots, I decide to un-install it. That took almost 45 minutes!
Anyway, do yourself a favor, and stay away from it, as it is complete bloatware at this point, and basically a wasted 1/2 day plus on my part, just to try it...
Too bad, as their older versions worked nicely, and I used it to burn lots of CDs and DVDs.
