What Rat Pack / Mob song ....

[eezee]

Gets the same reaction as something like Usher's Yeah or Otis' Shout or anything along those lines?

Trying to find the absoulute Rat Pack/ Sinatra/ Davis/ Dino type that REALLY gets people to go crazy...

Any suggestions will be appreciated!

TIA

For dancing I like Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight".

For background I like "That's Amore".

[Chuck The DJ]

I'll second those..

Maybe New York New York for crowd interaction

If there's a send off at the end of the wedding...New York, New York is always a good one for me.

That's Amore sometime during dinner.

I'll second (or third, I've lost count) these, and add:
"Ain't That A Kick In The Head" by Dean Martin - which I'll use for cocktails.

[SoftJock Rick]

I could name hundreds...

But, if it's a "family" gathering, and you neglect to play Summer Wind by Frank -- don't expect to be on anybodies Christmas card list

If you can find it, pick up Sinatra's Best of the Rat Pack (Frank, Dean and Sammy live). Pretty funny too

Couple Dean tunes that always work:

Volare
Everybody Loves Somebody

Tony Bennett is also totally acceptable

[Hank Davidson]

"You Make Me Feel So Young"

[eezee]

Thanks guys! I'll try all those at my next gigs.

For dancing I also get a good response with a version of For Once in My Life that starts with some horns and has a nice Las vegas/ Big Band feel to it. Its off a collection CD I got at Best Buy .

If I have a 30 something itallian crowd i really like to play JUST the piano part from layla..

"Mambo Italiano" is one of my favorites (from the "Mob Hits" CD)

its by George Clooney's Aunt Rosemary....
