Is that the same Steve Earle that does Copper Head Road?

I like that song.

And don't forget "Guitar Town"...also a great tune. Allison Moorer is a great singer just never hit it big. She's also the sister of singer/actress Shelby Lynn. If you're not sure who she is...she plays Johnny Cash's mom in "Walk the Line". Just some useless info I thought I'd toss out.

I'll be the sexist pig here and add that she is smoking hot!!!!

I love alternative Country. Steve is a GREAT artist. We just have vastly different political views. I've been a fan of his even before he went to prison. If you like him, may I recommend Lucinda Williams. I like Shelby Lynn a lot too.

He is married to Shelby Lynn' s sister Allison Moorer

As an aside I am soooooo pissed. I booked tickets online for the show I recieved a conformation, and then they emailed me telling me the show was sold out and sorry for the inconvinence. I hadn't checked that email account in a while and only noticed it day before yesterday..

So I am going to be 250 miles from home looking for a scalper to buy tickets from Tuesday night :sqmad: :sqmad:

This does not make sense to me.

if you have a confirmation, that would mean you have your tickets and seating assigned already, so why would they tell you it is sold out? If it was an online ticket sale, as soon as you booking the tickets, it automatically generates the seat assignments.

That's what I thought too Patrick...I'll tell you this it's the last time I ever buy tickets online. There must have been a gaff in the software somewhere.

So here is the story....

I get to Halifax (250 miles away) with no ticket. Now I have to be there anyway with my daughter for an appointment so it's not a wasted trip regardless.

I have no ticket so I go to the venue in hopes someone will be selling/scalping one outside. Well there is one guy who is selling but he's running an auction for it and the bid is up to about $400...A little too rich for my blood.

I drive away and come back about an hour later. The show has been on for about 1/2 hour. Still no one selling tickets but I notice the security guards aren't watching the door they are sitting on a concrete wall close by just talking. So I park my vehicle and walk up and right in the doors. No one gives me a second look.

I stand at the back of the church and for the next 2+ hours get to see the concert...What an awesome show.

Steve is looking old but he still has it. Allison Moorer...All I can say is recording dosen't do her voice justice she is an incredible singer. He did all the old stuff and all the cuts from the new album. he has a DJ laying beats for him on this tour.

After the show the tour bus was parked right out front so I hung out for a few minutes. Steve came out with about 7 or 8 of us left and had a great conversation. Truly a nice guy to talk to. I got a pic with him it's a little dark. When I dump the camera I will post it

Here's a couple of pics

Damn, he's still around?

I worked for a radio station that hosted his concert back in 1982, he was Steve Earle & the Dukes then.

A few of us went over to the hotel & partied with them.
We didn't stay long, they were getting heavy into drugs (I'm sure which led to his problems soon afterwards)

A very talented guy.

Yup he's still going strong and clean now. Alot of people only remember the Copperhead Road album and before but since his "vacation in the ghetto" and jail time he has released some amazing music
