Ok I got my contorler and I must admit it is a sick unit...lol Ok I installed all the update and everything... but for some reason it will not link to my VDJ... so ok I up loaded the crappy LE version and it works but hate it.... So can someone help me.... I have VDJ Pro but it won't link with my RMX....

Please decribe what happens when you try to "link it" in detail.

What do you do to "link it"? What does or doesn't happen?

ok... here is the run down....

I open LE and the lights on the RMX come on... So that is the sign that it has linked to me... But when I open the VDJ Pro... The RMX dose nuthing. I go into COnfig and Go to the enable the Hercules unit and I get a red indecator... But when I go into mapping everything I touch shows... But I'll admit I know nuthing about mapping... So I might be wrong on that one...lol Sorry can't really figure too much....

But I know it worked with LE.... but I do alot of videos at the club... I would love to keep my status at the club as a Video DJ....

Odd.

Just to verify... you're not trying to run more than one instance of VDJ at a time, or even have BOTH LE and Pro open at the same time, are you? (This could cause confusion as to which instance would be linked to the controller).

Also, which version of VDJ Pro are you using? The most current is 5.1. Any version of Pro below 5.0.7 will not support the RMX at all. The icon to select under "controllers" is the picture of the MK2. This icon will select either an MK2 or an RMX, but only in versions 5.0.7 and up.

It also doesn't hurt to have the most recent firmware updates. Are you up to date on those?

You shouldn't need to know a thing about mapping in order to make this all work together. The basic mapping has been done for you, and should be something you simply "select".

Does any of this help you?

Upgrade!

It's free to all legal licenceholders of VDJ.

(Not saying it is, but) If your copy of VDJ Pro isn't legit, I'm not here to bust you. But I will encourage you to do the right thing.

And VDJ is half off if you upgrade from the LE version that comes with the RMX.

IMO, it's easily worth the $150.

I'm 1/4 Asian (Japanese, by way of Hawaii), and we're also about Honor. Do the right thing.

I recommend you pay for the PRO Version you'll be surprised how much you've been missing and you'll get the product upgrades and support.

yeah the house computer at the club uses the the Full Pro. But it's also 5.0 I believe... So I would still not be able to use the RMX.... Any know if I upgrade mine, could I also upgrade the House computer too or would that also be another charge???

If the house system has the legal Pro version the upgrade to 5.1 is free. If it's unlicensed then there's a problem. The club should pay for they're own license and you should get yours.

You need to have version 5.1 for the RMX to work. You are able to have VDJ installed on two computers legaly so on you computer and on the club cumputer is ok.

thanks for that info... I guess tonight while I am there to fix the DMX lighting... I need to dig into the VDJ and see if it is the Pro 5.0 or Pro 5.1... Now knowing that I can use it on more then one computer is nice to know...
