I did a show on Saturday for a daycare that was my second ever bubble party last year, this one kid remembered EVERYTHING from last years show...too funny.

"Is this when you bring out the board with the pictures and forget to point to one of them?"

"When you gonna make the really big bubbles?"

"Hey...that's not the right song!"

:sqlaugh:

Dohh!

I'm an idiot. Something in Flame's post made the lighbulb over my head go off.... I have not been sending follow up questonairres to my daycare clients, or my private bubble party clients,

Why I haven't been, I have no idea..... damn. :sqembarrassed:

papa...when i pick up the remaining $100 of the fee, i hand over no less than 5 preprinted referral forms, 5 more bubble fliers and a odysssey plus promotion package(dj/kj)...you know me by now!! i try to never miss an impact moment...promote-promote-promote!!...smoke also gives out small "thank you" gifts(we have tons of AVON COLLECTION junk her mother gives us to promote her business) with our business cards attached, to all of the assistants and teachers that helped or were at the event..we will also send out the standard "thank you" card , today, addressing it to the director of the facility...

Is that what you use in your Bubble King Papa?

Ben was out of the Chauvet fluid.

Looks good Flame.

One question though: Is that normal for the fluid to lather up like that at the end of the machine ?

Sure.... Chauvet fluid is no better and 10x the cost.

That is rather strange.... never happens to me...

Anybody here near El Monte, CA?
I just got an email inquiry from a daycare center in El Monte...really.

Before I graciously explain where I'm located and why I won't be able to do a bubble party for her, I thought it would be nice to be able to offer a local bubble party person.

Thanks Ron,

I've only fired my Bubble King up once, but I'm pretty sure there's only one speed? How do you do that?

Sorry about that sir, it was suppose to be a joke. One I don't think many people got. See, I have this sick twisted mind that the doctors just can't seem to cure, so they let me on these boards just to relieve some of the tension. Ya, that's it, I have a doctors note to make all these bad jokes. In fact I have a doctors note to p!$$ everyone off over on Prodj as well. :sqlaugh:

guys...i paid $1 for 3 1/2 gallons of that bubble juice...i think i can live with a little foaming action...i think i got it at "the dollar tree" in orlando...

jon...thanks, pal..i've been running back and forth to orlando, clearing an estate and helping my son with his new 30' sailboat in st. augustine...i would have still been in florida but i booked this bubble party over a month ago and there isn't anyone else doing the bubble thing in my area of kentucky!!

Uh oh.....

It's getting to the point where I may need to make my own bubble juice if I book more than 5 more parties this year.... Nobody seems to have it in stock. I can't even find it on the internet.

There seems to be a lot of recipies on the net... have any of you had to make your own bubbles yet?

Bubble Party for TOMORROW... cancelled due to EXTREME HEAT.

No big deal, as I was doing my daughter's "Fun Day" at school for free, but they decided that it was better for the kids not to be exercising outside in 93 - 95 degree heat... I agree.

BTW, they asked me if I could do it in the gymnasium. I said no, but now I have an idea for the future.... I'm going to buy SEVERAL of those lightweight painter's tarps and have them sewn together.... maybe to make a 20' x 20' area.... we can securely tape them to the floor to make them safe.

I've had both mats and rugs indoors, they still got slippery. You know what helped... having too many kids for the allowed space. They all got wet and soapy but the floor didn't.

I have a link somewhere for a non-residue (and hence, non-slip) bubble juice. It's very expensive (like $25-30 a gallon), but for the ocassional school event that gets moved indoors because of the weather (and can't be rescheduled), it might be a nice thing to have. I've been meaning to order some to test it out.

Walmart is already out of bubbles near me. The lady said it is end of season... check your supply NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up. I blew through half my inventory this past week with 7 parties. Check the drug store chains, I found gallon containers at Walgreens for 3 bucks (didn't buy any cause they are $2.50 at WalMart...may regret that decision).

Flame...cheaper, thicker juice tends to foam up. Also if you recycle juice too much it's gets thicker. And if you run the machines too long they will foam up...they also foam up when they are running low.

I've found that buying the expensive bubble juice (the $25 stuff) is worth the money. In fact, I've changed some venues' minds about using bubbles as an enhancement to the indoor dance experience. The juice is not soapy and after it falls; it clumps up to look like confetti, then evaporates, leaving no soapy residue on the floor. So far, recycling the juice does not seem to have any thickening impact on it. I recommend trying a bottle.
