Bags are useless for lights; they offer very little protection and you cannot stack anything on top of them making them a pain in the a-ss to transport. I used a Martin bag to transport my first Acrobat until the ata cases were built and it was a disaster waiting to happen. I would NEVER recommend using bags to transport your gear.

I tend to agree. I found that if my lights get scuff marks, I can just shoot em with BBQ grill paint and they are good as new. The light bags are an added step. Road cases for everything as applicable...

Just for safety reasons I wouldn't put too many things in one bag. I agree with everyone on the cases. Bags are for quick transport, however with multiple lights I would get a hard case. I personally use hard cases for all my DJ gear. They stack nice and are easy to transport in with my cart.

As for the Mini Line Dancers... they are 300 watt halogen fixtures and the Vue's are LED. I wouldn't say they are brighter, but similar in luemens.

The MLD are more of a full room coverage where as the Vues are in the moonflower category. Their coverage is more restricted to the dance floor.

There is exactly why the MLD weren't bright enough... on the dance floor.... which is what I want versus full room coverage... even with two of them you couldn't see them even in total darkness on the dance floor... just not bright enough or maybe it was my angle...

I'm wondering if you are over powering the effect of the MLD with the color palates. How does your Vue III look with the color palates on? You would get the similar effect, just in a smaller space with the Vue I & II

With the color palettes off the MLD were only showed slightly better..... and the Vue III with the color palettes on were fine together since I was pointing the Vue at the ceiling and the palettes at the dance floor.

It was the first time out with all of these lights working together... and they could be clashing with one another.... a little smoke would help I think... but many venues don't allow it.

The more I think about it I think that yeah the palettes were probably washing the MLD's out....

Maybe instead of the Vue's I and II what about those new LED Disco Ball effects that I've seen out now? I'm still considering the Vue's as a replacement because the light would be more concentrated on the dance floor which is really what I'd like to have....

Arriba is a totally different product then other light bags ive had throughout my years. I like em good enough to employ now 75 of them. So far as much as my guys abuse my stuff nothing to worry about, no complaints...

I feel much better sending our lights out to sit on someones front seat in an arriba bag rather than without remember we're talking about 12-15 guys doing 10-20 jobs each weekend so its a totally different type of scenario.

Rob - Get a Chauvet Kinta - They're dirt cheap; one will fill a big room and your pallettes will NOt wash them out.....

I'll have to check them out... I was also looking at the Elan (sp?)... that looks pretty good for an LED effect.

Elan is a cyborg but the LED version its fully dmx too. We have 4 of them and they're pretty good.

How are they as a single or should they at least be paired up?

Its pretty good as a single but it runs the same patterns as a reflex and just throws them around a little more... I really like the rover LED better

Wow I'll have to check these out in action
Did you get your vue III yet?

hey guys we dont run them 4 together the most we do is two. We have multiples of lots of things because of our system count and we change lights every single week. Sometimes they'll all 4 go out with different guys. Take a vertigo for instance we have 14 of those and probably 20 of the 4 light chauvet color bars (POS)
