Pictures from this weekend..

I tried the full truss cube, and my new video screens. They had the room layout all jacked up. The diagram they gave me, and the actual layout were nothing alike, but we made it work...

Sound was incredible, lights looked great, and everyone had a great time... Only about 300 kids, but it was like a club... nonstop dancing from the moment they walked in the door...

We played only one slow song, and they asked me to not play any more... so it was balls to the wall for the rest of the night. This was the biggest thing to ever happen to this sleepy little town according to the principal.

The DJ that's been doing it for the last 6 years shows up with 4 EONs, and a couple par cans and color strips. I charged 7 times what he charged, and they were so happy, they booked for next year already.. I even have the deposit check.

Finally, customers who appreciate value!

The principal from the neighboring high school was there also, and It sounds like I'll be doing a double header next year!

this was not a full setup, we just wanted to try the truss cube before we actually had to, so they got a little bonus... It took 2 of us 40 minutes to set up... not bad at all.. I figured it would be alot harder.

very nice, but ya know, they will be expecting that next year! LOL Cool, love the colors, so rich,,, the lazer looks good...

I just had one guy to help me set up... My trusty roadie Chad. With the exception of hanging and wiring the lights, we could have had it set up in 2 hrs... it took about 4 including all that tedious wiring work...

They paid $3500 for the prom, but text live wouldn't work in that part of georgia, and we didn't end up doing the wireless roaming camera, so it all evened out.. We were going to do a 12' tall by 20' long arch over the dance floor, but opted for the cube instead..

Equipment list

2 JBL SRX725 Dual 15"
4 JBL SRX718 18" Subs
3 QSC PLX 3602 amps

Freestyler Software

6 Elation Design Spots (we only used 4 though)
12 Chauvet Technostrobe LED
1 Revo III
1 Green Laser
1 Wizard Extreme
1 Bliss Light

2 Optoma 2500 lumen projectors
2 Draper Exxpress 15' screens

and a bunch of truss...

BTW... I would have preferred to not have the projectors on their own pedestals, but like I said, the original setup was supposed to have the arch over the dance floor and 2 screens. we would have suspended the projectors from the arch, but with the cockeyed angle they had us set up at, we had to improvise...

The laptop is just for lights... i use a rack mount only for performance... The softwares are: virtual DJ and freestyler.

Hey man, I didn't see myself doing this in Jan this year.. I just sold services I didn't have the equipment for, with the intent on buying it if I booked..

Last night's prom paid for the laser and all of the truss you see, as well as the two screens.

friday's prom pays for the Box truck I got to move it all, and the projectors...

saturday's prom pays for the moving heads...

3 proms and it's all paid for... my other two proms this year are all profit, and next year, I'll already own the gear, so it'll be even more profitable...

don't save up... just charge for it... if they bite, buy it!

:)

same here.
knardini and I are putting together a package for a local HS that is interested in spending 10K to 15K just on us.
We're seeking an east coast DJ to come out, dance troup, 2W laser, confetti, balloon drop. 12 -16 moving heads, LED pars like crazy....uplighting.....on and on...

And yes, we plan to sell before we buy.

Awesome!!!!

Great but i have to ask you a question:

Are you Mobile Dj or Mobile Disco Club?

Great job Man!

I don't think the terminology is the same in the U.S., Marco, but maybe Lynch can wax philosophical on that one.

Looks like an awesome time!
