The number 1 punk band is the clash but the number 1 punk song is the Ramones. Go figure. If you make the best song , you MUST be the best band. Still a good resource for those looking for Best Of compilations.

I prefer Rancid!!!!!!!I think they picked the Clash for their stage show likely and the Ramones cause of their impact with their music.

+1 for Freddie- its just nice tro see some 80's Hairband guys get in the list like Def Leppard. There were a lot of underrated 80's glam/ hairband that werent taken seriously because of the baggae and stupidity of the bands at that time. It also didnt help that they shopped more than their girlfriends at Macy's make up counter. Though not a full make up band, Sebastian bach comes to mind as one that was very underrated, even though Skid Row did ok. He had a stint on Broadway for a while in the 90's.
