SDJ1 Firmware Update

Been a while since my last post.. hope all is well with everyone.

Im looking for the firmware update for the American Audio SDJ1 SD Card Player.. If anyone has access to it.. can they post it or email it to me at [email protected]. I've tried contact American DJ Support several times but almost 5 days has went by with no response.

All of a sudden on March 14th when we powered on the unit it displayed a message saying "UPDATE UI" I assume that the unit's current firmware has an expiration date to update to the new firmware.. which is a horrible flaw and really pointless.

Anyways any info helps..

Thanks in advance

Alright I contacted ADJ Support for the update again and they went ahead and sent it out in an email..

Its crazy that a piece of equipment can just STOP working because the firmware is expired. The sad part is that no one was made aware of this or that to this date no firmware update has been posted on the ADJ or A Audio website. Tech support confirmed that the firmware expired on March 14th at 11:59PM.. that really sucks for those that have had a Satruday gig and went to fire up their unit only to have it read 'UPDATE UI" ..What a joke!

I guess if anyone else needs the update just let me know..

P.S. Thanks Dan for your busting out your googleing skills.. much appreciated!

within lies a golden rule. Im glad Mr Marek that all is well again with your system as Marco put. Sometimes great deals ARENT. Happy to see the resolve. Hopefully they will pony up a bit better the next round. Hopefully it didnt interfere with an important gig and solid backup was on site.

Wow! I was REALLY considering that unit. What you posted is FRIGHTENING. I never new of a hardware piece to DEMAND an update to continue to do things it already does....

Can you imagine if you hadn't checked? Ay yi yi!

I have that unit. While I have found it to be OK, searching for stuff on the SD cards is quite cumbersome as there is no way to search other than "I think it's on this one".

The sound quality of the 128bps recordings is also a little suspect, especially at high volumes. I plan to use it mostly for sound effects and drops.

Eventually, I will probably just use it for bubble parties, trivia shows, and other Game shows.

On the upside, it's a fairly inexpensive way to add 2 more audio sources.
