I had been using ZOLA for the last few years. I did not book anything off of there for 2026, but I did book some weddings in 2023 and 2024. Anyway, I am just posting this because The KNOT/Wedding Wire seems to just soak every other website up that gets popular. They have a direct uncontrolled Monopoly in the wedding business. I think they manage to fall under the radar of government due to the wedding business being just small enough. I think this will mean I will stop using ZOLA very soon because any changes they make will screw up what little positivity that ZOLA had going. Prices will increase, the use quality of the site will decline etc.
Thirteen years ago, we started Zola with a single focus: to modernize and simplify wedding planning. Along the way, we launched our Vendor Marketplace to connect our couples to the incredibly talented local business owners who make these celebrations happen. Since then, we have built and evolved our platform based directly on your feedback, driven by our commitment to helping your business thrive.
Because we view this community as true partners in our journey, I wanted to reach out personally to share a major milestone: Zola has entered into an agreement to join The Knot Worldwide’s family of brands.
Growing your business has been our top priority and we believe that bringing our two networks together will unlock greater visibility and new opportunities for you. Ultimately, we believe this new partnership will increase your ability to get discovered and grow over time, while preserving our standard of service and the pillars we stand behind: flexibility, quality, and value.
Over the past few months we have gotten to know Raina Moskowitz, the CEO of The Knot Worldwide (TKWW), who shares our commitment to supporting your businesses and helping them grow. My co-CEO Rachel and I will continue to lead Zola, and after closing, which will take time, will join TKWW’s executive leadership team.
We know an announcement like this naturally brings questions about what this means for your business, and how you work with us. We want to reassure you: maintaining continuity and stability for your business is our highest priority.
Until closing, Zola and TKWW will continue to operate as separate companies. For the foreseeable future, it is business as usual for you, with no changes to how you work with Zola.
● Current account continuity: Your storefront, active billing, credit balances, pricing, and subscription terms remain as they are today.
● No disruption to daily workflows: You will continue managing inquiries, messaging couples, and running your business through your Zola dashboard as you do now.
● Broadened audience reach over time: As we look to the future, our goal is to connect you with an even larger pool of engaged couples over time while keeping your experience seamless.
● Clear advance notice: We are taking a thoughtful, deliberate approach and will provide clear, advance notice long before introducing any new cross-platform opportunities or updates.
Your trust means everything to us, and we are committed to transparency. Like always, our team is here to receive any questions that you might have, and we look forward to keeping you updated as this next chapter unfolds. Please see the linked press release for full details.
Thank you for your partnership, your passion, and for being such a vital part of the Zola community.
Warmly,
Shan-Lyn Ma
