I'm looking to get two Yorkville NX750p and LS701P sub. Would love some feed back on how they sound. They sound great at the store.

801 is a killer sub, and depending on the size of the room, only 1 may be needed. a Pair (down the road) will cover most things a DJ would need to do.
The down side .. they're heavy .. so you'll need to factor that in.
It's rare to be able to put together a single system that will fit all needs, so maybe you can elaborate on the size of venues, size of audiences, types of music, etc. you play .. they all will have an effect on a recommendation.

Just got back into DJing...So far I have done many BBQ's, a few indoor parties, a block party and one wedding. I started off with 2 Mackie Thump TH-15A(didnt sound good), than I moved on to 2 EV ELX112P(sound great but lacking the power I needed) I play every thing form Hip-Hop, Soca, R&B, House and reagge
I have both NX 750P and the 801P 18" sub (1500 watts). This system works for up to 400 people. I also have a matched RCF 12" mains and 15" subs, all Active. I find that for most parties the NX 750P's work well by themselves. But, when it comes to those who want the "thump" I bring the 18" sub. Amazing, at low volume, the sub does beautifully for weddings at Cocktail and Dinner hour.
The LS 801P wheels very easy...like a two-wheeler and it is balanced just right for turning. At 137 lbs. you don't want to be lifting it. But it does have a handle on top and two on the sides.

Outdoors requires more power as generally the audience is spread out more .. plus you have to contend with background noise.
The NX750p over LS801p would be a perfect fit .. but might be overkill for small indoor events (though you might get by with just the 750s .. or 1 801).
The Mackie Thumps use cheaper components .. the ELX112Ps are decent sounding, but as mentioned will run out of steam at some point, though putting them over subs will help by removing the small woofer from low end duty. The only thing I didn't care for on those EVs was the fragile finish.
These days there are some very good active speakers from EV, QSC, JBL, Yorkville, RCF and a few others ... most will do the job. A lot comes down to use and budget.
My last set up was the (2)EV ELX112P's (2) Behringer B1500D Pro Sub's i ran everything into the dbx DriveRack PX. The Behringer subs couldn't handle the bass. And the top where under powered
For a block party .. underpowered. For a bar gig, fine. So I guess it's relative.
The LS801s will handle just about anything and are competitive with most subs under a double 18". As Wes said, if you plan on using subs all the time, a smaller top (10/12") will generally net you a better sounding midrange, at the expense of being less useful without a sub.
Many find over time they evolve 2 systems (small/med and med/large) and then pick and choose components for a specific job .. as some events require more than 2 tops anyway (wide or long rooms, weddings with a separate ceremony, etc.).
So start with what you can use immediately .. which sounds like a bigger system. Listen to the other 12/15" tops out there. Find a Sam Ash or Guitar Center (or in/around the city you'll find a ton of places) and listen using music you are familiar with.
From others, it does not appear that the LS801 would be deficient in any area of performance, so maybe if the weight is ok for you and you can swing the $$s, Pick up one for now.
Tops all sound different .. not necessarily better or worse, but different. Those really need to be listened to.
I found that I always had to carry a sub when I used the EV 112P's thats was my many reason for getting the NX750p's... Can I get away using one NX750p at like a bar or house party? Or should I pick up another 12"...or just not sell my EV's 112p's?
Depending on size .. yes (just make sure to run mono!).
There are other 15s that I would check out first before buying the 750s just to make sure you've done your diligence. I would look at the QSC KW152, the JBL PRX715, EV ZXA5, Yamaha DSR15/DXR15, RCF 415A .. all good sounding speakers.

I agree with Steve149 that a single NX750P run in mono would work OK in a small bar or house party. Size is the issue. At a house party I'd bring two of the smaller EV's because bringing two NX 750P's would be overkill...unless it was outside on the patio.
I have a pair of RCF ART200A's (12") that I use for Ceremony work (about 200 watts ea). At small to medium events I have used the RCF Tops and Subs (ART800A)(400 Watt, 15") that are a matched set, all Active speakers. The clarity of the RCF tops is outstanding.
Quite often I use the two RCF Subs with the two NX750P (coupled subs in center of setup for added dB.)

You must be from NY.. My type of sound is what you play.. The 750's are great speakers. You can do most small events with just those speakers. They sound great without a sub. Steve has a good point about matching it with the 801p. 1 801 is ll you will really need with those tops. I ran my 750's with a LS 800 for years and it was a great combo. I sold my 750's about 2 years ago.
Ls701p I wanted to use in small events... I drive a RSX and want a set up that fit in the car.. New Yorker love bass
My partner has 2 Mackie Thumps and they sound like SH**! Pure junk! The only good thing about them is that they are super light weight. Those tops you mentioned sound awesome!!!!!!!!!!! You won't regret the purchase!
