With the gear you already have, how many people can you handle comfortably?

That would largely depend on the type of event, but we can handle pretty much any format easily to 2000; more depends on the venue/event specifics. We've done high schools over 2000 kids...we've done non-stop 6+ hours of techno at 129db....for the most part we have never seen our limit.

LOL, I was going to say, unless you are Valerie! :sqlaugh:

I can do a lot more now...

With my new sound system, I'm UNLIMITED in the number of people. I'm guessing 2000...

I did a 400 people wedding awhile back, local style and it was okay... I would bet without pushing it to the max and really trying, I can say 500.. at a wedding or company party,,,

not a teen dance

my teen dance system 300 I would think...

I have done a show with 5,800 people at it using my own rig as well as a few teen dances with over 3,000 in attndance.

The largest event I did last year, using just my own gear, was 950 people for a wedding.

Well...

At 6kw RMS tri-amped we've never had to push it very hard. Packed indoor house, possibly 400 some-odd is the largest indoor show we've done. Outdoor shows, no limit. We don't own long-throw bass bins but the FOH ain't bad.

950 people for a wedding? :sqeek:

Yep....I usually get at least 1 wedding every year where there is 500 plus people. Largest actual wedding I ever did was 1,800 guests.

Wow, I am amazed at how big some of your systems are.

I have 3 configurations (with my JBLs/Crown and Matrix 1000).

I have easily done 300 in a 16,000 sq ft venue and could probley push 450 for a wedding there.

Even after down sizing much of my gear I wouldn't have a problem doing 2000. My smallest system runs 2400 watts. Putting together the largest rig sans the DTH system (sold it) I could still muster 10-18" subs 2-15" subs, 2-12" subs, 8-15" mains, 8-12" mains, 8-10" mains and 20,000 watts of power.

I would be comfortable doing a wedding for 500 (I did a 400 person wedding this summer).

Schools, I'd say 250ish.

Do you think my numbers from the Op are correct? about 250?
I don't see why not.

250 indoors is a decent guest tally when one really thinks about it. Much rides on the local acoustics and the type of show as well. If the audience is relatively quiet and seated it's easier. If they're loud and rowdy you may have to goose the rig a bit. :)

Probably somewhere around 1500....hoping to do some outdoor events..ie...car shows, parties, I just upgraded and added 2 more JBL EON 15's, and 2 JRX 118 Powered Subs. That will give me atotal of 4 JBL 15's and the 2 subs. I like the idea of powering down instead of powering up and peaking.
