I recommend to all djs that i know NOT to use winamp for primary djing, there are occations where it is necessary, say you don't have time to setup a complete system... Using a crossfader plugin souly for DJ is tacky to me and does not create the best possible mix in an event. If you do want to go the Winamp route, i recommend one of the DJ plugins which will spawn two instances of winamp that way you can mix your files exactly the way a real dj would. As for CD-G files, no prob... I'm fully there with you, visualizations can be very nifty too since it is community driven. I would have a seperate say set top system which would accept line in and output visualizations on a screen, or feed that into an Edirol V-4 and bring it in through S-Video.DjG said:another cool thing about winamp is when i dj i can choose my crosfade so its almost like using disks and there are so many plugins you can get for scratching things of this nature if your really into that
