HRH is a cool place.

But if you want to experience a German beer hall, there's one right across the street (well, diagonal from the Hard Rock) - The Hoffbrauhaus... While the original is in Munich, this one has some pretty decent German beer & food.

Enjoy the show guys/gals!

Cheers,

Joe

Hard Rock not for me sorry,,,, Loud doesn't lend itself to chatting and I don't want to be screaming the first night there, don't really care about hot waitress'...... I will see ya all during the week in the halls...... Golf Monday we still have a few spots BTW... E-mail me [email protected] if interested.

Chuck your getting old its not in the Casino its off the main floor. Sure people talk but the yalso do in that Katys place that is substandard at best. I would rather sit out in that Taco shop near the front versus Katys. The mexican food there is actually pretty good but not sure if they serve breakfast.

The Hard Rock Cafe itself is exactly what you are describing. Its incredibly loud, and makes it difficult for communication.

However, Mr. Luckys 24/7 is much more relaxed. The decibel level is much lower, generally just enough to drown out other peoples conversations at other tables. The hot waitresses are just a bonus. The food is above par, and the prices are reasonable.

I just wasn't impressed with Kadys at all.

Micky D's across the street! LOL,,, Wonder if they have Spam Rice and Eggs for breakfast like we do here........

Who's up to meeting at Kady's Coffee shop at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening?

making our way to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino? They have a GREAT very REASONABLY PRICED cafe inside called Lucky's 24/7 cafe. The 24/7 cafe has a rock & roll theme, the music is loud, the waitresses are hot!

I'll probably be there and available Sunday night at 8. I agree that Kady's isn't a great place to eat, but I also think that Hard Rock is far away, in a random direction. How about walking out front of the Riv, and walking to the left to the Peppermill? Prices aren't a bargain, but the food is good, the portions are big (two can share, perhaps), they have a full bar and cool lounge.

Whatever the group decides, I can probably join.

You know, Steve has a good point! The Peppermill is a great place. The lounge was voted best in Vegas many times over, and featured in the movie Casino. However, appetizers/drinks only in the lounge.

The diner section is nice, the food is good. Better yet, Its right next to the Riv, <5 min walk.

Personally, either would work for me.

If Keith and Judy are good at 8 p.m., does that work for everyone else?

8 p.m., Sunday night, Peppermill?

Judy and I should be able to make it by 8:00 pm.

Of all the rest of you who have posted at the beginning of this thread, are you still coming to the Convention?

Please let us know if you are and if you'll be joining us at Peppermills.

I just booked a "premium" Room (newer rooms) at the Riviera for Sunday $39, Monday $39, and Tuesday $20. I should be driving in round about 3-4 ish.

The bad news is, I will be going solo this year. The wifey can't get the days off work so... I don't know how I'm going to do it without her *sigh*. By the way, how far is Sapphire from the Riv? Does anyone know? lol

I wanna go see the Stripper Karaoke...I might drop by the Peppermill if I have time....It might be nice to see it under normal hours instead of 5 AM...

Later..
