Who has one of these?

As you might expect from a luddite- still have them all- Vinyl, reel to reel, cassette, 8 track, AND, though never used professionally, my dad's WIRE recorder.

Remember, when karaoke first came out, it was cassettes and lyric sheets- still have my full collection of both, though the sheets are getting a bit....musty.

Those pics are from the TV station where I work. I work for a CBS television affiliate in North Carolina.

That's an Otari MX5050MKIV-2. I believe it is the only reel deck still in production in the world.

I managed to snag an old portable mono unit
that I have stowed away to play my old airchecks and stuff.

If you plan on using that machine
take good care of your tapes
they start to melt after a while,
much like old movie film
