My original query to Rob was "what's offensive about it?". Yes, the question is part devils-advocate, but the other part is: if I'm missing some awful, hidden, lyrical content, I'd like to know about it!

This song isn't a favorite of mine, but I've heard (and played) songs I liked A LOT less than this one. Based on requests and reaction I've gotten so far - I think you're both missing it. And, while I'm not versed in how it goes, there's a "jerk" dance that goes with it. Need I remind anyone here the power of that?

Jon, as noted, I'm in the same general area as both eezee (who seems to agree the song is a hit), and Hugh (who does not). Rob is elsewhere. Please explain to me how by asking a question, I've even hinted at morally policing anyone?

I don't think that even with an accompanying dance...
we'll be hearing about this song in a year.

Steve may be right about the "power" of other songs that never go away...
but the others were far more interesting to begin with.
And how many times do you get novelty dance songs like this one
on your DO NOT PLAY lists?

If a song were noteworthy enough to make it to someone's "do not play" list, it's because it was a hit that they thought we "might" play. I've never seen a "do not play" list populated with stuff I wouldn't have played anyway.

Damn, I think I might delete it just so I don't have to lie about having it. This make Crank Dat sound like a great song. :sqconfused::sqerr:

I've played the Denis Leary song (not at a wedding)
because it was requested and the party was a real barn burner!
went over like gang busters!
I admire you're committment to better music...
but since I am not personally "offended" by objectionable material,
I would be more than glad to play any song in the right circumstance
(the right crowd)
my only qualm is whether it will WORK!
in the case of this song...
I dont feel I'll have to worry about it in a few months anyway
