I'm a fan of Yorkville speakers. We have a pair of 801P subs and I love them. Just looking for thoughts on the NX 25 speakers for my setup.
No one is running the page. How is your personal own gofund me working out Adrian? Kinda looks like a scam? Have somebody else run the fund me page for you.
You said something very interesting. When I played for the seniors in Montclair I only used 1 speaker and only had the volume but so loud. It worked for them. I had to also keep the mic volume down or they would complain.A older friend of mine who does a ton of senior parties during the week shows up with two qsc k8’s and says they’re more than enough.
I can't get rid of the van. It's not paid for.Mix you’re stuck in the past, you need to open you mind to new ideas and technologies, it’s your chance to make things easier for yourself, ditch the rest of the big gear get rid of the van, get a smaller more fuel efficient vehicle, cheaper to insure, easier to park, and some modern small lightweight gear , this will allow you to keep doing what you love for a significantly longer time
Never has and never will! Kind of a waste of time trying to help. They were also happy I took up a lot less room with my setup. You just didn’t listen.
You do know that a vehicle you are still paying on can be sold, don’t you? Unless you are VERY upside down in that current vehicle.I can't get rid of the van. It's not paid for.
There's a guy who has a pair of the NX25 used for $450. As I see it I can pull the trigger on the pair. It won't have me break the bank. You said they sound nice. I certainly would pick them over Harbinger.I've owned and used the NX25 speakers. They are well designed and very durable nice sounding speakers. I didn't have them long I bought them really cheap from a guy going out of business and wound up re-selling them. I have NX55s here same components same box larger amp I've used them since 2008. One pair I sold to the bar I work on Fridays the other my Daughter uses when she plays they have been flawless. For the gigs you do they are more than you need
That being said they are 45Lbs and they need to be lifted above your head. I can do it but I have bad shoulders I made the decision not to make the shoulders worse and bought a line array system. The 25s are slightly lighter 39-40 I believe but still need to be lifted up
I would suggest HK Polar 12. You can get them less than a Grand in the US and you only need one run both sides in to it you have full sound. Sell the 801s to pay for them they are just taking up space in your basement. If they are in good shape you might get $1200-$1400 for them you could almost afford 2 Polars with that
Sound is subjective. You need to setup a time to go and listen to the speakers. Make sure that they work properly, and sound good to you. There's a guy who has a pair of the NX25 used for $450.
