Hi Folks,

We’re back! I’m still working on the background stuff but the core is up and running. I had a couple of set backs with the import. The only user facing problem is that we lost the avatars. You can re-upload yours or use a Gravatar. If you no longer have a copy let me know I can pull it from a backup.

All your Thanks were imported over this time. You may notice posts say X number of people liked this post instead of Tom, Dick, and Harry like this post. Once someone clicks 'Like’ it will calculate the name. This was done to save time on the import.

We’ve made some user group permission changes. This won’t apply to our frequent posters but we no require 25 posts and two weeks as a member until private forums are opened up and you’re able to edit your profile and such this is to keep private forums private and thwart spammers.

I’ve disabled signature images. They pretty much just a waste of screen space. Other than that everything is pretty much the same.

You’ll notice some trophies being awarded and some other anomalies as cron jobs run. This should all be cleared up by tomorrow. As always if you notice anything out of whack just holler.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a nice trophy from a Father-Son miniature golf tournament which we won 45 years ago .. the trophy even has a nice Dymo label on it.

At first glance I have to say I like it. ESPECIALLY that Ignored Members Post does not even show up, its like they don't even exist. From this day on I won't even have to see that a post was made. Its even better than the last format!

I still vote to trash the ignore feature. It makes it too easy to be one sided if you ignore those that are correct. :)

Yes, we were last year. It's matured quite a bit and is even better!

hehe you should've gotten plenty of them when you logged in.
I did not see anything I did not want to see!

Excellent. I'll be interested in seeing how things run.
So far so good. We'll have a slight lag until I update PHP and setup caching. I'm still undecided on moving to a new VPS or to move a client off this server as he's running legacy scripts that aren't compatible with the latest and greatest PHP.

The biggest issue so far are the included social plugins (Facebook, Twitter, Google +) slowing down page load. I may disable them.
