From what I'm seeing - it really depends on the use - even a SSD will wear out. Even as of this moment, platter drives are still the most common drive sold.

You're right, Tig. People think SSD's will last forever, and though they normally last longer than mechanical drives, they do fail. If you think about it, if memory (RAM) fails in PC's, which it does pretty often, then SSD's will too, since they are essentially the same thing.[emoji4]
