Thanks and good thing because I was going to have to run a query and my brain is fried about now.
Thanks .. put the select all on the v2 wish list. The old system emailed once a day, which was ok .. the new one emails every time an alert is generated.
Yeah, that's not Kosher. I already have some feedback for the developers add this to the list along with an admin tool to bulk update users watched threads/email prefs.
I added a line between the post body and signature to differentiate between them some.

This seems very FB like (pun intended).
vB might be slow, but it seemed more intuitive. Maybe that's because I'm old, and don't carry a "smart" phone. Sometimes, change is not always good. I can find my way around ok, but I'm not convinced this works any better...

I agree that the software feels FB like which is probably the use of all the AJAX which is a hallmark of FB. Of course "like" vs. thanks adds to that feeling.
A slow site is a dead site. Search engines now take load time into account. While I haven't done any testing things feel a lot faster overall.

There is an indicator. I've seen it, it's just a question of where.
The older posts. I've noticed that myself on other XF boards and didn't think it was that big of a deal. I'll suggest it to the developers.
In the 'What's New' page, your little avatar will show on the top bottom right corner of the avatar who started the thread.
Here I thought he was talking about something different but you're right.
You can also jump straight to the newest post from a search by clicking on the blue orb.

Just type @ and the user name. It will auto link and alert the tagged person.
