When you were little........

What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was in elementary school I want to be a Veterinarian. When I was in Jr. High the TV show Emergency had just hit the airwaves. I wanted to be like Roy and Johnny. My wife had the same dream. She became a paramedic and I became an EMT and Firefighter. Dreams don't last forever but it was a good 16 year run at the fire service.

On a side note to that, last year my wife and I spent the entire day with Randolf Mantooth aka Johnny Gage, and his wife. We went out to dinner with them and had a wonderful time. My wife and I had the opportunity to meet the creator of our dream.

Hmm...

Seeing that Ron was in Jr. High when Emergency aired....

I'll have to admit that I watched it when I was 7-8 y/o & LOVED IT.

So yes, here I am now - 38 y/o & a paramedic since '94.
DJ'ing came later. :)

Original plans of med school changed while I was in college - but as they say "life happens" & I'm still happy with what I've been given.

Favorite cartoon? That's easy - Marvin the Martian!

Stunt gone Wrong

:sqeek: ok so this weekend our group performed for our monthly dance party. We opened with 3 couples doing stunts for 45 seconds. Everything went fine for the first few stunts. Then we went to do what we call "snatch with a hot dog on top" where what happens is the girl is supposed to jump over the guys shoulder (guy grabs girls leg), she slide down his back head first (guy lets go of leg), she grab his thighs and her she arches her back and her feet hit the floor. ......(ok so i realize that, that sounds dirty but actually....well it kind of is, but just the ending position).......

I looks cool when done right....

but what happened I forget what move we were doing so instead of jumping he picks me up.....and then he let go of my leg and I start sliding down head first twards the ground. I then realize that I am supposed to grab his thighs, so I reached for them too late, and my head hit the ground. But I managed to tuck fast enough so I land on my hip instead......The video looks HORRIBLE. I am very happy that all the injury I have from that is a sore hip, and not a broken neck. :sqeek:

So that was my scary excitement of the weekend
 
it is on my friends camera......i don't know if you even want to see it......it looks like i shouldn't be able to walk after.
 
There are just so many dirty things I want to say here but I won't.

OK I'm confused. You legs were wrapped around where? And who got the hot dog? And then you hit your head so you can't remember? Wow, you people up there in Minnysoda do some crazy sh%^.:sqwink:

Ok...:sqwink: my legs weren't wrapped around anything :sqlaugh: And as bad as this sounds...ah it is how we go the name. When my feet hit the floor, my hands are holding my weight up with my face in his crotch (hence "hot dog")... :sqembarrassed: very weird to explain and is sounds worse than it is. But I am sure you all liked it anyway. :sqerr::sqlaugh:
 
yeah our group came up with some pretty interesting names. Thanks for your concerns guys....its much appreciated.
