For the past 15 years as a full time Mobile DJ operator/Owner, I've always had 2 different packages for weddings. One A la carte and one all inclusive, priced competitively. I've had the 4 hour minimum and the 6-7 hour max.

The 4 hour was the a la carte, with OT optional. The 6 was everything included.

I see more DJs doing "up to 5 hours" only in my area. But after researching venues, come to find out only 3 or 4 venues do 5 hour packages, with the majority doing 4 hour packages with the cocktails in a separate room. (Upgrade $)

I have thought of doing a one package all inclusive.

What works for you?

Tim,

Before you work on how, determine if and why.

As "one of the most sought after DJ Services" in your area, are you experiencing a lead or call issue that is creating the concern?

Maybe your competition is making changes in an attempt to keep up with you and not the other way around.

Nice site Tim. It is nice when other DJ's post their site for all to see. Don't know why some don't. Maybe they don't have one.

As to your question. I use a one package system. I do offer OT but that is it. If what I offer doesn't work, I will work with couples to a point.

If what you are using works for you, I say stick with it. If you think it is time for a change, well you are the only one who can decide to do it.

I agree Tim. I just got my website up and running, and thought its fairly basic, I am working on it quite a bit. Seems like every day lately.

Hey Tim. Im in Colonie. Im just getting started again. I was in business with a friend of mine in the early 90's. After some time off, I decided to make a go of it again. Spent quite a bit of money lately, but Im hoping it will pay off.

We have a monthly DJ Gathering which is this Wednesday and every 2nd Wednesday of the month. 7 pm. Weather pending at the Ravenswood. If it's great weather. if not, it's at the Rusty Nail in Clifton Park.

We call the Ravenswood our "Summer" home.

It's 2 hours of networking, socializing, great talk and comraderie with other professional DJs from our area and Mass. Catskills, realy anywhere.

Tim. Thanks for the invite. I will try and make it to next months gathering. I would love to meet all of you and learn.
