I got a reply from VDJ support and it reads as follows, First - there is nothing wrong with your video card. The message you received is about your physical memory on your system not video memory. How large of a audio/video file are you trying to load? A standard 3-4 minute audio/video? The message is telling you that in order to load the audio or video file into memory there needs to be a continuous space of memory available for that file to load. VirtualDJ will not segment the audio or video into little pieces.

My Reply as follows
I 've just updated my 4 year old laptop with VDJ 7 it has almost all of it's memory used and uses a standard video card no problems. This all seems a little strange to me, I must get this issue sorted as we open in 2 weeks. I run mainly on playlists and did run the programme for around 8 hours before it started bringing up the memory prompts, I would only cause a problem if I tried to jump forward the playlist. My new PC has around 170GB memory left in the C drive and the same in the D drive with 4GB ram. My videos are 3-4 minutes long with an average size of 100MB MP3 smaller of course, as I've said my old laptop has no problem and most of it's memory is full!!!!!! I'm now at my wits end. Please help resolve this. Thanks

If you have a chance, send ACW_DJ a PM he's with Atomix and takes care of the Spanish speaking forum but he is also fluent in English. Check with him on the video freezing issue and the ATI.

Hi,

The video file I'm trying to load is an AVI, but for some reason, I get this error message:. "Could not locate decompressor for" DX50 "format (unknown) VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) codecs DirectShow compatible codec to decompress video. Such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable." While we're on the subject of codecs, I downloaded and installed the DivX Total Pack 2.3, but nothing new is presented to try to step 4. Of course, since VirtualDub does not load the video first, I'm getting ahead of myself, but still, I must mention that while I'm ready for help with problems (or so steps 3 and 4). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have run VDJ on both 32 and 64 bit versions of 7 with no issue. If your problems are mainly with video, I would try updating all your codecs.
Try downloading and installing the K-Lite Codec Pack (basic) and see if it resolves your issues. Also, disable anti-virus software and make sure that VDJ is running as administrator on Windows 7.
