A few questions on this version that is packaged with a few mixers and smaller controllers...

What functions do you NOT get with the Lite compared to the full version? I have no need for video.

Are you able to make (and does it show) a request list?

Does it allow you to drop tracks into an "auto-play" list and show said list?

One gig and you're getting the bug again aren't you ;)

Not a bug, but maybe a slight itch. Feeling out the market right now...actually it was two events.

But in reality, I'm 60, so I'm not sure how well that would go over with NEW clients.

Who wants an old f*rt at their event? I'll have to ask Chucky, Mike....:sqlaugh:

WOM will have to be my main source of events I'm guessing...

That’s easy other old f*rts.

While I won’t say there’s mass quantities of possible events. I have had the occasions where my age was an advantage. Got booked for birthday party, ended up being the same age the women. She had a ball, loved everything I put on. When it came time for her sons graduation party she told him you getting my old DJ because I know he’s not going to play any of that new stupid crap. Of course I got a list of some of the stuff that the son wanted and got it on.
Presently I’m doing a lot of karaoke. The kids don’t demand that you are young like they do for a DJ, you are in as long as you have their songs they want and a friendly outgoing personality.

It's hard to say because VDJ has updates quite often. I would guess that there's both an automix play list and a side list.

At 66 yo I'm not pursuing much as a mobile DJ now days. It takes too long to physically recover from one wedding reception and I only do a few each year.

60???... HA!!!... I was older than you when I STARTED DJing.[emoji1] It took me a little time to figure out what kinds of events and clients to focus on where my age was not an issue. Sweet 16’s, proms, school dances, etc.... NOPE![emoji1] Weddings???... only if the wedding couple understand what they’re getting, but there are plenty of other types events out there. That might mean you don’t play as many gigs as someone who plays ALL types of events, but like @Jas said, recovery time after an event takes longer at our age anyway. One event a month is enough for me, and I enjoy those events more than if I was doing 3-4 a month.

60? Try 72!!

...and this is my life -

Up in NY for five April birthdays. 2 children, 2 grandchildren, 1 daughter-in-law

Fly home April 16, get on a cruise ship 4 days later. Stay up late every night on ship dancing, and boogie board in Wave Rider during the day

Get off cruise ship. 4 days later head up to Wickham Park in Melbourne, Fl for the Vietnam and All Veterans Reunion - the largest Veterans Reunion in the US.
We camp there for 10 days. If you're in the area, please stop at our campsite which is next to "Doc's Bunker" - we'll pay our respects at The Wall, and I'll show you the proper way to drink a beer.

Finally get home end of May and start preparing for the (so far) two Latin gigs in June.

It's a tough life, someone's got to do it, but getting old is NOT for sissies!

Wait....which Mike are your talking about? I'm only 55, so don't lump me in with you old timers !

I seem to be getting younger .. pretty soon I'll be wearing a bowtie

If your hair doesn't start growing back....you are NOT getting younger! :embarrassed:

As for VDJ Lite, I got it with my DJ2GO and ran it for a while.
Never used the full version to compare it.
Unfortunately, I had to restore my laptop to factory settings...
and I could not re-install it because I had forgotten my username and password.

My hair grows faster than ever .. just not where I want it ..

My wife bought me a nose hair trimmer 10 years ago when I turned 50. Only needed to use it once a week.

Now that I'm 60, it's needed almost every day!

And when I go to the barber, they trim inside my nose AND on my friggin' ear lobes!

What's next? Drop trou and trim the sack?:embarrassed:

They probably spend as much time on my nose, ears, and EYEBROWS as they do the hair on my head!

Aaaahhhh yes..forgot about the eyebrows. Same for me...don't wanna end up looking like Andy Rooney.

As I always get my hair a buzz cut, there is little to do upstairs. $10.00 for said buzz cut plus a $5.00 tip and I'm outta there.

Hmmm...may have to update my avitar...

Ummm....sorry brother...I was....
No harm, no foul.
You can't argue with the truth.
Good thing I'm an immature little brat, because it makes me ACT young.

I still can't be cheap and go to a regular barber.
(they say I need a hair "style" and they only do hair "cuts")
But I did find a Holiday Hair, so I only pay about $20 (with tip)

I bought one of those ear/nose trimmers and do that part on my own.
I also bought a hair trimmer and do my beard and mustache.
Eyebrows are a waste of time with me (just as bad the next day)

Don't knock being 60. I will soon be 61 and still doing the damn thing.
