Hello all.

Im yet to introduce myself, but im brenden.

My laptop has Traktor LE on it and whenever i try to load a song it keeps saying " WARNING THE TRACK COULD NOT BE PLAYED DUE TO A MISSING OR CORRUPT FILE. UNSUPPORTED FORMAT OR DRM PROTECTION.

Has anyone ever had this problem?

Thanks alot

Brenden

You will get that msg. For a number of reasons. All described in your warning msg. Most common is you have not told your software what folders your storing your music in. Use explorer or finder depending on your OS and drag the same song to a deck. If that works you need to go to your setup menu and tell Traktor where your music is. Also make sure your not trying to play a protected song from iTunes.

First question: Do you have a Registered Copy?

Thanks for the replys.

I am using a registered version that came with my deck.
And im finding that cd's that im burning onto my computer are not working, along with others. Have no ideas whats going on. Any ideas?

cheers

More details are needed.
Is this a new problem, meaning have things worked before?
What software and what software settings are you using to burn those CDs?
Does a regular purchased MP3 work?
Is the File Location on your Hard Drive the same as the Data Location on Traktor?
If you are still having problems give Native Instruments a call at 323-467-2693 they are pretty good of taking care of problems. Have your serial numbers handy and Traktor running when you call.

If the files are .mp3, try using CBR (constant bit rate) for encoding instead of VBR (if you do it that way). Though I don't know why that would cause hiccups, it has in other equipment. If they are .aac, make sure they weren't purchased awhile ago in iTunes when they were DRM protected. You can also scan the files with this: http://mp3val.sourceforge.net/ It may tell you if you have file issues.
