Trouble join truss sections?

I have a AMERICAN DJ CRANK UP LIGHT TRUSS [DURA TRUSS].

When I go to join two truss pieces together I can get the first two "bolts/clips" in okay, but the third one never lines up.

Suggests please.

I had trouble with mine as well at first. I sanded down the paint..and I brought Remington oil with to help ease it in better. Or are you talking the holes are f##d up??

After all the struggles I had with the truss...I immediately bought a larger trailer so I never had to put the stupid truss together.

On a side note...can a truss company just make a 8 ft truss?? If there is one somewhere..i am game. 10ft is just way too long. Heck..sometimes I'd settle for a 6 ft truss.

Most of the Pro stuff, and even the Cheaplights truss is in meters, a 2m stick is 6.56 ft, 3M 9.8 ft
 
Check with Ben they had a sale on the metre sized stuff not too long ago. I opted for the 2 metre run.
 
One of the three fittings, spins 360 degrees. The other two are fixed.
Connect the two fixed connectors first, then the third, spinning it around 180 degrees if necessary, to allign properly.

Okay--

On the American DJ Dura Truss System, each and of the three truss rods has a fitting welded on to it.
One side are male fittings, the other side are female fittings.
These fittings permit you to add sections to the truss as needed. Most use only two sections, however, some use as many as four.

A pin/spring clip connects the fittings together.
Often, the allignment is slightly out of wack, due to bending, temperature flex, whatever. So, American DJ provided that one of the three female connector fittings, swivel 360 degress to allow you some flexibility in assembling the truss sections.

This swiveling (moving) fitting should be the last fitting into which you insert the pin/spring clip. Rotate this fitting as needed to allign the holes for the pin/springclip.
