Time To Start Building My Business

That's the way I'm looking at WEDJ, lots of features and benefits that I need from one company, one bill for me to pay. Any leads I get will be gravy.

Whether I use WEDJ or some other web hosting company, I still want/need the gig builder software, credit card processing and several other things they offer. If there's another company that does all the things that they do, I'd be interested in comparing.

I just did some snooping around on the internet and I'm pretty sure WEDJ is the way to go for me. A Silver listing fills in several pieces of the puzzle and for a very reasonable price.

DJintelligence doesn't do web hosting, it doesn't give me the ability to take credit cards, I don't see anything about website building templates, nothing about insurance being available and so on.

This discussion is helping me to think out loud and the suggestions have been very useful. Thanks

I use WeDJ for my hosting and it is pretty good to start with. Gigbuilder is awesome for helping to organize your leads/gigs etc.

I also have a Gold listing with them, this lowers the cost of the hosting as well as placing you on top of the search page.

On a side note, the singing dj looks to have EVERY saturday in June available. Remember the old adage of K.I.S.S.

I'm surprised at how few seem to be using wedj. After really looking hard at it, I expected more. On the other hand, it's possible that people have other things to do than to respond to this thread . . .

WeDJ doesn't work for DJ companies in Canada....so none of our Canadian members have anything good to say.

In the past, WeDJ had horrible customer service (this was between 2001 and 2006).

After they fired Arnie and hired Brandon -- things got much better.

HOSTING: I went with Travis (Bounce Webs) because he's competitive in price AND he's part of the family. Even during the hurricanes, my web site never went down! (knock on wood)

wedj is OK even if it didint do anything for you or get you any leads. I mainly keep my listing for the Liability Insurance. $175 a year. I think the minimum is a silver listing to be able to avail of the Insuarnce. I use Yahoo for my wesbite. They just added a Sitebuilder that is a lot better than the previous DIY tool Pagebuilder. Yahoo's Sitebuilder is actually software that you need to download but its still very easy to use by idiots like me.
