Mix, just 2 pieces of advice...
1. PLEASE KNOW WHERE YOU PERFORM! I don't know who does the MCin' on your threesome of a partnership, but typically it's nice to welcome everyone to "insert venue name here" for the celebration of "whatever event you're celebrating". It creates a more polished presentation. Not saying this is the only way to do an introduction, but it's a nice formal transition to the start of the party and venues appreciate it. I also do it at the end of the night, "thank you all once again for coming out tonight to the beautiful "venue name", and making "so and so's" bridal shower so special. Enjoy the rest of your evening and one more time, let's have a round of applause for our guest of honor "so and so".
2. $300... making $100 after your split. Seriously is this really worth your time and energy? Do yourself a favor... split from your partner... go on your own... charge $300 and pay a roadie $100 to carry all of your equipment. At least then you make $200. Really makes no sense how you work for practically minimum wage if you count from the moment you pack the van and head to the event, till you unload and head inside the house.
