I love the fact one of my West Coast brothers is in fact doing the first dance right from the grand entry. It gives me hope towards a western trend for immediate dancefloor blessing.

Here in Western PA 98% of the time The 1st Dance is after dinner.

I hate doing 1st dance on the Entrance. It always seems dumb breaking them from the other formal dances, that will be after dinner.

I can see some people like there 1st dance to be center of attention but I think there is just as much attention to the dance if MC'd correctly after dinner.
