Yep ;)
I am now listening to Alizee - L'Alizee

Your So Vain - Carly Simon
Amazing how her and Mick worked so well together in the studio - even Harry bowed out :)

I met Carly at a party in the mid-late 70s. Cool lady! Although, she never would say who the song was actually about.

I still wonder...

Right now I am listening to Tommy DeNoble.... Who? The song is called "Count Every Star".... Tommy was a coworker / friend of mine who died 2 years ago. He performed this song on American Bandstand, back when it was called Philadelphia Bandstand.

ABout 10 years ago Dick Clark was invovled in a PBS show about Bandstand. He was asked what performer in the HISTORY of Bandstand created the most excitement while playing live on the show.

He said that it was Tommy DeNoble. Of course the show was from Philly, and so was Tommy.... but still.... to be called the person who created the most excitement EVER? Damn, that's saying something.

The song is available on iTunes. It is standard 1950's teen idol music. It made the charts nationally, though I am not sure how high. He even appeared in a movie with Annette Funicello....... You young guys can look her up at Wikipedia... :sqwink:

Neil Diamond - Cracklin' Rosie

2 CD set

Dinah Washington - "The Classic"

A collection of recordings of one of the great american singers!

I've been on a Dinah Washington kick lately.

Currently, I'm listening to "Back To The Blues" cd on the Roulette Jazz label. I've listened to this cd twice in a row, and I very rarely do that.

I just got the Augustana disc from BMG, it is very very good. Think the Fray and Keane with much deeper lyrics.

(Princess)Stephanie of Monaco - Ouragan

A bit of............ Pink Floyd, John Fogerty, Billy Squires, Eric Clapton......The Robert Cray Band and Martin Nievera.....How's that for Variety........

I've been listening to a band out of Seattle called The Posies Dear 23 (the whole album). I've loved them since 1991, and I listen to them to remember why I love music. Their harmonies, their songwriting. I grew up listening to The Mamas & The Papas, and I LOVE well-crafted songs with great harmonies. I guess that's why I listen to ABBA. :)
