Nope. I just out of the blue decided to try it. The kids had been showing interest in stuff with a good beat, so I took a shot. Plus, I had a feeling that 2 -3 of the teachers would like it, and the kids seemed to like what the teachers liked.

They danced a LOT to that song.
 
I sent in a request yesterday for info on bubble partys, and recieved a call from Rob Peters .

Real informative, Just want to do a bit of research before i pull the trigger on yet another service offered.....

Adding karaoke, and video this year......But think the bubbles will also be a nice addition, as there isn't anyone doing them around here.

Anyone care to share a rough idea of the start-up costs you had??

About $1000 for stuff I didn't already have.... and you would already have too. But I also added a few things that I didn't need, but wanted... so $1500.
 
Around $1000, unless you already have a small system you want to use just for bubble parties (the bubbles get everywhere), in which case just add props, marketing and bubble machines.
 
I pretty much had everything so it was just a bubble machine at this point. I'm buying a second one soon. Roughly $500.

I concur with the $1,000, but you'll also have some advertising costs. As I'm sure Rob told you, he's coming up with more and more angles all the time, so I think the cost of advertising will actually be cheaper by using some of the materials that he is making available.

It's a great program if you like to work with kids. It's also one that will be successful if you stay after it. The people that have dropped out usually give up after one mailing. After the 3rd mailing, you begin to see substantially increased results.

Also, each area offers unique opportunities. Here, I am finding that the birthday party market is good, so I'm seeking more ways to tap into that.

Honestly, I love the parties. If that could be my entire business, I'd be a really happy camper. At my age, dealing with the kids is life affirming.

Go for it, man.
 
Bubbles

I have jumped into the Bubble Party Game. I just have to go out and buy another machine. I already talked to the camps I dj for in the summer and they love the idea for the little ones. One of them wants to use me for the parents night. The Camp theme is Disney this year.

Hey everyone...

I just wanted to let you all know I am still around and checking in to this board here and there! Glad to see everyone is doing well. I have been extremely busy with Bubble Parties, new stuff for the site and a pic/video library for promotional purposes.

The first Bubble Party a HUGE success!

My wife performed the first bubble party today for 2 groups of kids (2 different age groups/60 kids). She said it was incredible! The kids had a great time. She played the fast food song, sponge bob and more!

Now this daycare is going to spread the word to it's other offices and it looks like we'll be booked up all summer. Plus we're hearing of birthday parties and more!

You asked what the start up cost is. Since I already had most of the stuff to begin with I figure it cost me around $500 extra. Thats the cost of the bubble king, the ADJ unit and little extra esentials. I haven't priced the ADJ unit nor seen it in action as of yet but whatever it is I'll get one hell of a deal on it.
 
Windy day after a gig the night before. I'm uplifting the bubbles with an industrial fan. I have 3 kids in this backyard. Don't think for a second the others are all mine.

Soooo..... Wednesday's show must have gone over even better than I thought. I picked up my check today, and was told to expect 2 more shows this year at the same daycare, and at least 7 more within the chain for this season.....

My wife is actually showing interest in my business now.
