Yeah!!!! I finally have enough stuff to warrent a larger transport vehicle!

So, I made a deal on this 2004 Ford E250 Super Duty Cargo Van at $4000.00 which is just under book value for a van with body damage and high miles.... overall it still looks great and runs even better even with 184,000 miles on it.

I showed it to my boss at the hotel and he said, "I hope you get busy enough to need a truck next..." From his lips to God's ears... :sqbiggrin:

I have a friend that uses a van. He built a plywood platform that goes just above the tire wells. He puts all of his truss bags and such under the platform and his cases and gig bags on top.

Works good for him.

Sounds like waste of space unless some sort of brackets could be welded to the sides and some custom steel support beams could be mounted on and removed then just lay a plywood platform over that using some sort of secureing mechinism to the support beams to keep from slideing....

That way when you want to use the vehicle for larger items you just quickly remove the platform and the steel support beams...

Food for thought anyway....

Yep, he can remove it in about 10 min. He said it gives him more room for a proper load. Me, I like my trailer. Stays loaded so none of this load in, load out, load in, load out.:sqmad:

But I also have a secure place to keep my trailer. :sqwink:
 
Possible Van Lettering Idea

For right now my logo is out but I can do the lettering here's a basic idea of what it might end up looking like... scale might be off between sides but it's the best I can do in photoshop for now....

If I do that on just the one side wouldn't it look funny?

I just don't see it working on the side with the doors on it unless I put the graphic over them and cut out the doors themselves...
 
Something would have to be done with the exact spacing of the lettering so that hopefully none of it overlaps the doors... then just duplicate that for the driver's side....

I figure as long as I can show what it should look like in the photo's it'll make it easier for the company to do the lettering for me....

Right now I'm just waiting on what size he needs the file in and the cost...

What do you guys suppose lettering such as this should run?
