Then something even better happened. We started connecting beyond the job. The screen names became real names. The avatars became faces and an honest and trusted network evolved. One member in particular, Jon "Jay T Vegas" Tuck, would almost always greet and connect with new members immediately. He would exchange phone numbers with people and then give them the official one hour welcome call. The ultimate icebreaker.
An hour geeze he was just warming up at an hour LOL
He called me one night in September 2006 I remember it because a few days before that I had been to the Rolling Stones outdoor show and it had rained and it was really cold and I wound up with Laryngitis He said Hey man I know you don't have much voice so just listen I'll talk LOL Classic JTV. About 3 hours later I hung up and I think all I said was hello and goodbye LOL.
I've talked to several here on the phone but JTV was one of a kind every time.
