Technics left a gap in the market that Pioneer has been trying to snatch up. How much market is left for it is unknown. The same thing happened with their headphones.

Once they're available I'll get some. I love their headphones as I was fortunate to be able to buy a main pair and a backup (Both RPDH1200's). Bought another pair of Pioneer headphones and can't complain, I just like the Technics better as they are heavier and smoother.

I loved their headphones too (same set as yours) - both of mine eventually failed (several years old) due to wiring in the headband. I looked for more but they don't make them anymore. I converted one of them into a single ear piece (monophone?) .. and because of that, I now have a spare monophone if I need it.

:)

I currently use the Shure SRH750DJ.

One of the failing pairs is currently with a buddy - he's trying to fix them before I decide to rip them apart and make another monophone.
