"APARTYDJ"... In the bottom picture of post #480 how far across is your rig, and what type of screen are you using? In #476 what is the writing on the backdrop? Is it advertising on a board or is it screens you are running promos on?

The Venue Set The Stage In The Wrong Place.
We Wanted To Run 2 - 9'X 12' Screens We Could Not Get The Hall To Move The Staging And We Did Not Have Enough Depth To Throw The 9' X 12' Screens...

Here is our new setup. It does not go to every event. This coming saturday will be the first paying event to get the LCD. Also there will be no advertisement for us on the screen. It will have a black back ground. And 2 gold rings in the center. And say Congratulations Joshua And Melinda. I hate this photo because its in my friends dirty garage.
The funny part is when I was taking the photo he was saying maybe you could put it on your website

jokerswild: can we have an inside shot of your setup. Is your stand just a regular keyboard stand? What brand? I see alot of DJ's using the keyboard stand, but I'm not sure how secure it is. (Weight)

Cesar- looks nice just looks really heavy. With the 150+ gigs you do doesnt this wear you down? Ive cut down my rig to multiple lighter cases instead of 1 big one. If youve got a roadie then it shouldnt be a problem though.
Cesar, what material and glue do you use for carpteting? Any tips? Do you get your hardware from DBlittle?

No advice since I have my cases made by a talented carpenter.
There is no way I could of built this case with the hidden drawer for my Lap Top to slide out from the case and at the end of the night I just close the lid and slide it back into the case and close the door and it's ready for the next event.

I brought out a Mini-Gressor once it got dark and it looked very nice with fog.
A more recent set up. I'm still not completely finished, but this set up only takes about 20 minutes to set up once everything is in the building. I'm working on a facade which I think will really clean it up nicely. And, my son is trying to talk me into laying one of our light towers on it's side for some floor flooding. You also don't see in this photo is the lighting control box. I didn't want to clutter things for the pic.
It's weird, just a few short months ago I was doing away with the lighting truss and going with less, but I wasn't happy with that. I like to have fun at my gigs and have plenty of toys to keep me and my son occuppied. As long as I can continue to put things together to minimize set-up times to around 20-30 minutes (tear down in about 10-15), I'm happy with that. For the shows that don't require any lighting, I get to train my son on the sound and choosing music.

WOW.... I think it might be even more impressive if you did a Then and Now post.... show us where you were and where you are now.... I think that would be extremely interesting to see...
