What a Weekend
Started Thursday Morning,
Got home from Night Job,
Found out 2 out of 3 Kids had been
awak all night with the Stomach Flu
Needless to say the House didn't smell too nice
as they didn't seem to hit the Throne or any Buckets
that had been strategically placed throughout the house
Help clean up a little a decided to get some zzzzzzzz's
All of about 2 hours & man I feel funny,
Yup, you guessed it I had caught what they intended to
give me, the stomach flu.
Called a Few DJ friends in the Biz, knowing that
This past weekend (December 1st & 2nd) is the
Busiest weekend for the holiday Season.
Needless to say If I wasn't better, I have no
Other Trusted DJs to fall back on.
Call in Sick from Work for Thursday Night
Friday Morning Feeling okay, but still unable to
Keep even a Timmies Coffee in me.
Go for an early setup on Friday (Around 2pm)
Back to play Music by 9pm
Great Party (Lists to follow)!
Saturday comes, Still no Coffee!
5.30pm start for a Large Company Party
Setting up (Really no energy in me as
I haven't eaten a Bite since Wednesday)
I go to Tighten one last Speaker on the Stand
and guess what happens, RRRRRRRRRRIIP!!!!
Yeah, I was setting up in my Dress pants and
Golf Shirt (Dress Shirt when I was Done) And
I backside was wishing all a Merry Christmas!
Lost the Seam from Belt Line to... well all the seam!
I had brought a pair of Jeans with me (For Tear Down)
Which I quickly change into my Jeans, No Time for me to
Run home for a Change in Dress Clothes.
Guests are arriving,
Now, mind you this Party is for a buch of Blue Collar Factory Workers
These guys know how to party & me being in Jeans & Dress Shirt
is Dressy to Them (So I made the Decision to stay the way I am)
Finished the Party (Good Party, not as amazing as Fridays)
Glad it was over, did thier Xmas Parties for the Last 7 Years.
Company almost claimed bankruped this year and will not be able to
book again for Next Year (Sad to see them go), I have been doing
2 parties a year for these guys.
