Do you actually own this product, or did it show up in your Facebook feed like it did for thousands of other DJs nationwide?

I'd hesitate in calling something a "jewel" if you don't know how well it actually works. Just saying.

No I do not own the product. I was doing a Google Search on Small Mic Mixers and this link came up. http://www.avlifesavers.com/index.htm

I had a friend build a fully functional mixer about that size years ago it was pretty cool tried it out the only downside is it was all RCA

I assume they're built pretty well, but for the same price, you can get a 3-4 channel Behringer or similar mixer and use it to mix down mics as well as a backup in case the main mixer goes. The AV Lifesaver one is $95 .. this Behry is $99, comes with compressors and USB in/out:

Well yes, Steve, I agree that for the money, a decent mixer would often be a better purchase (I'm fine with Behringer, but I know people are lining-up to make their "decent mixer" punch-lines right now!)... That said, there's something to be said for additional inputs and versatility, and I could see that extremely small package coming in handy on certain gigs when you don't have the space and/or desire to bring an additional mixer (even a little tabletop 4-8 ch. Behri)...

I use a Soundcraft 12 channel as my regular mixer but I've had the Xenyx 802 for several years. One lasted me 3 years of regular use until it was dropped and I bought 2 more since one for a backup and one that goes with the second system. The quality is comparable to any small DJ mixer and so far so good with the longevity

Dumb question..what IS phantom power?
It's a voltage applied to the 2 hot leads of a balanced connection. It then becomes available to power a device at the other end of the cable. Most capacitance/condenser mics require a bias voltage to generate a signal .. thus the need for phantom power. Some DI boxes use it as well. The industry norm is 48v.
