I have a Fuji Finepix s1500. It's discontinued but they have the SL1000 that is very similar I've seen them online for about $250. In my opinion it's alot of camera for the money

I've got the S2000HD -- I picked it up on sale from NewEgg I think, for like $250 or so -- they were having a sale.

I see them floating around on eBay used.

I love it for video, but I haven't quite figured out how to take good stills yet -- too many buttons, and menu items. Photography has never been my forte.

Dollar Tree? Them batteries are only good for low power stuff. They work fine in clocks and remotes my digital camera drains them in less than 40 pictures.
Not at Dollar Tree Dan. There are two Dollar Stores where I buy Name Brand Electronics that have Surplus Products. King Dollar and the 99cents Store. Those Batteries last a Long time for me. I buy Sony, EverReady, Panasonic and there is a Brand Called Sunbeam that is also very good. Same as the Button Batteries. I can get a 10 Count Card of CR2025 or CR2032 for $1.00 while Walgreens sells the same size for $4.95 That is a $48.50 savings right there. I DO NOT go to Dollar Tree, Family Dollar or Dollar General.

I hope all you guys are recycling all those batteries you're buying and not just throwing them in the trash... :(

That would involve driving -- no ROI. The closest battery recycle place is like 20 miles away, so I have to drive 40 miles to drop off some AAs...?

I throw them in the used Chink food containers, and hum them in the garbage bag.

So after looking at everything, taking many of my photographer friends advice into account and searching around ebay.....I decided to go with an Olympus PEN E-PL1.

It has the option to add different lenses too it, but it compact enough to carry in my day bag.....and it has a much larger sensor on it that the regular point and shoots so it will be much better in low light situations.

Well I'm late to the dance, but I do own the Canon SX260. I do like how small the camera is. It is very easy to use, also in low light, you can turn the ISO up to 3200 and take photos with out a flash. One other thing I like about this point and shoot that not all of them will do is zoom in video mode. Sorry about the late post.
