Someone PM me, I feel out of the loop here!

I'd have participated in this thread sooner, but I didn't (and still don't) have a suggestion on how to legitimately get this remix, which I thought was the original question - and not all this other stuff about:

1) If I like the remix or not
2) If I like Beyonce or not
3) Which female performer is a better dancer

While all those things are possibly related and possibly interesting, shouldn't the original question be answered before going off on tangents?

I have found illicit means for getting this mix. There's another thread discussing (among other tangents) how the music industry has screwed itself over, and I believe they're still doing it. How sad is it that I can find this particular mix of this particular song (like it or not) illegally stealing it, but couldn't buy it at all in any form, legally? What kind of business model is this?

Steve,

This "remix" is not available through legit channels because it isn't a sanctioned remix.

Many house and Techno remixes are not "sanctioned"

1CDJ,

I already had it on a vinyl cut!

Of course it was sanctioned. Dave Aude doesn't work for free.

Now, the crack4djs mixes aren't sanctioned, but they are for sale.

Steve,

Thank you for bring that up, honestly I didn't care to hear about how it sounds like Beyonce on Speed or whatever, but thats beside the point. The mix is being played on select house and dance stations, and actually gaining in popularity. The problem is that we can't find a legal source for the mix, but need it. While this isn't a good business model to follow, look on the other side of the issue, we aren't acquiring the mix illegally because we are lazy, or unwilling to spend cash to support the artist or music industry, in fact all of us on here ( I hope ) are quite the on the opposite side of things.

If we aquire this mix, and play it, and make it known and popular, then the demand will be there when maybe a legal source is revealed for the mix to be bought. Then we will have infact made the industry and the artists money. Its a very "Grey" topic, but I don't think that Beyonce would have heartburn if a bunch of legitimate DJs obtained a questionable copy of her song only to promote it and make her more money.
