RIP Steve...

Steve brought a light hearted energy to the forum. In some heated disagreement threads, I could count on Steve to make a funny comment. Those are the people I gravitate towards. Yes, some things need to be taken seriously. A tragic death of a friend is a perfect example. But finding something to laugh about can really help in tense situations. Steve was great at that. He would want us to laugh. Not laugh at his death, but laugh while enjoying his memory.

On top of that, Steve was very technically savvy and always willing to help.

Even though Steve rooted for the wrong team, I didn’t mind losing 2-6packs to him in Indians-Yankees playoffs

I bought some equipment from Steve and sold him some. Transactions were always nice and simple.

I mentioned to steve last year that we should do a group zoom get together and have a few cocktails. Steve thought it would be a great idea. Well, I didn’t make that happen.

I think we should make that happen in his honor.

Regardless, when you raise a glass of whatever you drink, do a toast to Steve. He made this forum better and I’m grateful I got to know him.

To Steve!

Got the address, thank you.

P.S.

If anyone wants to carry on his knack for inserting
a joke about my legs in a kilt....
into darn near ANY post...
please feel free.
Actually, I don’t think he was joking about the kilt most of the time. I think he really thought you were pretty cute in a skirt.😂...

...Based on this photo, I’d say he was right!😉

Steve wasn’t feeling well and went to the doctor. The doctor performed angioplasty on 4/22 and from then he had to have 2 stents inserted. They found out his heart was only functioning at 30%. He just never recovered.
WOW... 60 years old is just too young to go. I’m still having trouble shaking it. It’s all just too sad.😢

I, too, will miss Steve. For the last several years, we always hooked up for dinner somewhere in Atlantic City at the DJ Expo. We shared a passion for electronic stuff but he was light years ahead of me in most things scientific..

May your journey to the Kingdom be smooth and straight, Steve. One last virtual hug, buddy.

Oh... So in other words... the COVID got him?😳

ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, I know I shouldn’t joke about it, but if I don’t laugh, I’d be crying.😂😢😂😢😂😢

Take this crap elsewhere.
You mean like this crap:

I'm agnostic and ask questions...which always seems to upset the 'righteous' among us.

My firstquestion is WHY is your choice THE choice? There have been over 2000 gods in human existance and wars have been faught, and are faught, over who's god is the right one. 99% of people are the religion of their parents - so luck has more to do with your beliefs than any rational thought or research. Most people spend more time shopping for the right car than the right belief/religion/god.

I doubt a truly good all powerful creator would a)wait for thousands of years to reveal himself and b) would let people kill eachother in his name.

If He is your father, our father, why does he let so many of his children suffer? And he's punished others (eden, babel, the flood, etc).

You treat your kids that way and you'll get locked up, not admired.

IMO our life force is in this existence to learn something, when learned you move on. Stupid people were maybe a mouse or a tree in a previous existence, perhaps after a few trips through human hood they're Einstein or elon musk or a profit. IN between existances there are 'ghosts' or whatever you want to call them. Guardian angles perhaps.

As Billy Joel said, "I would rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints. The sinners are much more fun."

Several of my friends recently posted variations of the meme "God prefers kind atheists to people that hate in his name." It reminds of the story of Noah. Noah predates Abraham. He was saved because he was a righteous person. My take away from this is that being righteous is not exclusive to a particular method of worship. Clergy generally don't see it this way but they have a vested interest in getting me to see it in a way that supports their livelihood.

AGAIN, RIP Steve.

I think Steve would have a laugh at that.

I agree he probably would...

Guys I ask respectfully that you don't turn this in to anything it's not please keep it as a thread for information and as a memory of Steve. Thanks

Lighten up... It was a joke. Anybody who knew Steve knows he had a great sense of humor... ALWAYS quick with a funny quip.😊 Over the years he and I joked back and forth in many, many threads. He was the subject of a BUNCH of my cartoons I posted on this forum, and he loved every one of them.

Everybody deals with grief in their own way. I’m a cartoonist, so I see a joke in pretty much everything. That’s the way I cope with a world that would otherwise be a pretty dour place.

You didn’t like the joke... I get it, but let’s not get into a pi... a contest though.😊

I hadn't noticed I didn't have this one in my video collection until today my pool Xtendamix posted it for download. I recon Steve is up there laughing at us somewhere.

You might have heard I run with a dangerous crowd
We ain't too pretty we ain't too proud
We might be laughing a bit too loud
Aw but that never hurt no one.....

I had hoped to check in and find this was all a cruel joke. "Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated". Such is not the case -

Steven Montambault, 60 years young. By all accounts, a better man than me - the true Spirit and Soul of what ODJT used to be.

I'm envious of the Faith many of you have displayed here - I wish I had it, but as I said once before, it has been a long time since I kneeled before Death.
