Hmmm???... That looks interesting. Not familiar with LD Systems, though. What is it comparable to? As good as Rolls?

Not sure .. German company. I like the features in that one (USB audio, 2 zone output).

Looks like the Bogen gooseneck is the only Dynamic mic they have. It looks like it has been around for many many years.

Do you have to kiss the mic to use it or if you are about 6-8 inches away, it works fine. I think I might give it a try, but I am worried it won't be long enough.

It's good from 6 inches I'd guess. I have a tendency to get pretty close to the mic anyway, so I'd have to pay closer attention to how far I am from it when I'm speaking into it. Length may be an issue. 16 inches is pretty short. I had lowered the height of my table legs about 3 inches before this last gig. After testing my new Large System, the table height (for my Small System) seemed really high. I got used to the lower height. However, by lowering the table height I found myself having to bend over a bit to speak into the microphone. The gooseneck stand (to which my mic is mounted) on my Large System is 19 inches long... a much better length. If I could moved the Bogen closer to the front of the rack, somehow, the length would probably be no issue... or I could just raise the leg height back.[emoji1] As it is, it still works OK.

Looks like the rain has FINALLY stopped, so I might be able to unload the minivan and bring my Small System inside. There won't be much to do on this project that I can't do in my office.[emoji4] Still haven't decided on anything to order except for this (see Objective #3)...

CyberPower CPS1215RMS Surge Protector, 1800J/120V, 12 Outlets, 15ft Power Cord, 1U R...

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00077INZU/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_JCqmBb8S0XKJB

... I put one of these in both of my Large System racks. I like 'em.[emoji4] The power cord is WAY too long for rack mounting (16 feet), but I'll just LOP it off.[emoji1]

Still looking for more MIXER suggestions???[emoji4] Anybody???...[emoji4]

ok, thanks. What's odd is that some sites list it at 16 inches, and some 18. It's as if they changed it at some point.

I have yet to see a dynamic gooseneck that is around 22 inches as that would probably be perfect.

Another I keep looking at on eBay is the A&H GR4 ( GR4 - Allen & Heath ) ... lots of output options, so I could have a main speaker set, a fill/booth set, and 2 mono outputs for remotes .. all separately controllable. I like the "zone" mixers (meant for commercial audio) .. lots of options.

Hadn't seen that one before... Very cool, but might be too complicated for my little pea brain.

Pretty straightforward once you look deep .. and can be had used for less than $300. A&H commercial stuff is pretty bullet proof.

Got both systems (Large and Small) set up in my office. Interesting to see the contrasts and similarities. I definitely used some of the ideas from the Small System on the Large one, Now I want to apply some of the better ideas from the Large System to the Small one. I don't want them to be identical, but the more alike they are, the easier it will be to transition from one to the other.

It's worth considering... but I'm not seeing one on eBay. List price is over $600. That's a little too high for this project I think.:)

A similar box is the Samson S-Zone ... even has a built-in monitor.

Looks like it would work, but how would you deal with those wire connectors on the back?

Just 2 or 3 wires each on a screw terminal. I'd probably cut some older XLR or 1/4" for internal wiring and use some mic cable to a XLR chassis connector .. the other end just screwed into the euro-blocks.
