The dj2go2 (with the built in soundcard) is fully compatible with Serato DJ Lite, which is also free.
Rack Mountable DJ Controllers - end of an era?

If Scott wants one of those, I have one for sale shortly as well ..(I bought a DJ2GO2, so the "1" isn't needed anymore)
Why did you buy the DJ2GO2?... What feature did they add that improved the DJ2GO2 to the point you were willing to upgrade/update?
Oh... That’s IMPORTANT. How did you connect the previous one? What were you using for a sound card?

Whatever the PC had available .. either headphone output, my Presonus AudioBox USB, or what the mixer had .. the DJ2GO was just a controller .. no mixer, no audio.
The thing I dislike about the DJ2GO is the knobs for volume instead of sliders, and no EQ’s. WeGO has ‘em, plus had a built-in sound card from the start. Of course it cost much more too, so...[emoji4]

Unless they're long throw 100mm faders, I actually prefer rotary controls.
I said it came with Serato, but it (WeGO3) actually came with a license for DJay 2.0. I used DJ Pro with it at first, but while Iliked some features of DJay Pro, there were some features missing. So I’m running Traktor now.

It would be pretty easy to remove the rails and mount them just above the front rails and use them to mount a shelf to sit the controller on. Is that what you were thinking???
Having a rack similar to the one I posted, I know it would be a pretty simple mod. The rails ARE riveted in, but you can drill them out very easily, and if you ever wanted put them back, using some small nuts and bolts would handle it.

Could either mount them lower and sit the controller on part of them .. or say if the controller was 7U deep and your case was 10U on top, you could remove the rails, cut them (or buy another set) to 3U in length, figure a way to mount the rack in the front 7U space and then bolt/rivet the 3U rails behind it for a device or 2. and mount them in the same location, just at the back
I like the old DJM 5000's as my main mixer. Has USB for PC's and VDJ software compatible. I have 2 of them. They are nice clean rack mountable mixers. As many of you know I'm not a DJ. I let the DJ's bring what ever controlers they prefer and simply run them through the DJM 5000 mixer as a master mixer.
There getting hard to find. I got both of mine from GC's used web site. There smooth and clean and easy and simple to use and sound really good.
I like that they have a XLR main out and a XLR zone out. I use the main out for my tops and the zone out for the subs. That gives me instant control over both the tops volume and the sub's volume sepritly.

I almost bought one 5 years ago but got a great deal on the Rane MP25.
Since I don't carry CDs, I find an iPad a good hot backup choice since with iTunes, I can sync much of the same music. I have a Denon DN-300Z media player in my larger rack and it has a CD player, SD player, USB MP3 player, BT receiver and AM/FM to boot. I use it for "everything else" ...
I've been thinking about getting one of those 1U all in one units like that. I only take a few CD's that I pre mixed just for a back up, but a duel player and controller takes up 4U spaces so I may pull that out and go with something else someday.
