Sorry for the slight off-topic...

I got my online account set up for primecuts+ and was happily suprised that NLFX is one of only two listed equipment vendors.

BTW, they do list ODJT in the forums links too!

Not trying to start a war over which service is best, but I think it's funny that people are suggesting PrimeCuts is a service that's slow to get music. We're usually about 6-8 weeks ahead of the monthly services and bi-weekly services and are right about the same as the other weekly service.

There will be a couple songs a monthly or bi-weekly will beat us on just because they do sometimes have to guess a bit more than we do. If our programmer gets a song by a hot artist on a Monday or Tuesday, it will be on our disc that ships that Thursday. If the monthly or bi-weekly service just sent their disc to production, it will be 4-6 weeks before they get that song.

We haven't updated these in a long time because they became a waste of time as the results were just about the same every month but you can see a song by song breakdown here: http://www.jonestm.com/pccompare.asp

I use Promo Only - 2 cd's/ month. I have them shipped once a month to save costs....There have been the odd time where PO is late with a song; I go to I tunes or the store then......Most times though.....I'm satisfied. Out of curiosity I've looked at the listings on the weekly discs.....For me there is a lot of filler material there; Even on my bi-weekly discs there's probably 50% that's usable.....

Steve the differences vary drastically when trying to compare the type of gigs you and I usually do. However the difference lies more in the pub club DJ and School type events. In Canada its even worse getting the best of the best ahead of time. It depends on release date Canadian Subs aren't given certain songs as quickly as they are available in the US. Hopefully you can trust my experience in both countries.

I have tried two different services here and my Canadian Primecuts are a bit better but held to the same slow release of some artists and labels as well as hits.I have checked every Sub available for the most updated best on the spot outlet available in Canada. Ive tracked each and have been atleast satisfied I have found the most current up to date and accurate choices for popularity with the new Canadian Primecuts services.I only wish I could get the US Primecuts legally up here.

John - you're correct. Even so...I see a lot of clutter on my 2 disc per month set.....It would be interesting to track how many songs on these discs actually become bona fida hits....
As far as finding new stuff or staying ahead of the game., with 95% weddings; it's not a big priority....

That being said.....It is well worth the $300.00 or so I pay per year...
