There are two versions of this song one says Poker face and the other says F**k her face. I heard them both the other day within just a few hours of one another. Definitely different versions on the same XM station.
There aren't two versions. If you've ever heard the acapella copy of this song you'd know it's not what she says.
It's somewhat comical to me how people can really convince themselves that a song says something it actually does not. It reminds me of the people who think they hear backmasked messages in songs when there really isn't anything there. True, there is backmasking in some song, but many times people hear something that is simply not there.
Here's the thing, and something I can attest to from working in a studio environment numerous times in my life, syllables can lose some of their sharpness and emphasis after editing/effects have been added to the vocals. It's easy to lose the impact of a plosive. Especially since, on this song, her voice has a phaser (panning effect) that causes some aspects of her voice to be lost, reverb which also "smooths out" the sound of her voice, and an autotuner which can completely change the sound of a voice...essentially you bastardize the singers original voice. This is what we call "studio magic".
