No, it's not. That's still a work in progress.

Thi has occured because private companies wanted cheap labor, and overall costs, so they decided to manufacture it all in China. ...Now look who holds the cards on this product? THE CHINESE! ...And there is nothing we can do about it until we decide to start manufacturing our own N95 masks!
Actually the consumer wanted it cheap and the worker wanted top dollar. The consumer won
Well...That is part of the reason. ...The need for cheap products is also because wages for half or more of Americans were low, and not keeping up with inflation.
We had a few good years of wage increases with the .com boom. 1998 seems to be a very solid year on paper. Ever since '98 wages have been in decline...Until 2018...sort of. In 2018 wages were increasing, but not really enough to offset 20 years of declining wages with inflation.
I think the West Virginia having no cases Or now the fewest... Is a farce. The reality is they simply have tested the fewest.
People (consumers) wanted cheap products. The only way to get those products cheap .. was to send it overseas to be made, where they make 1/2 or less of your pay and work 10x as hard. Would you still buy the speakers you have if they were American made and cost more than brands built overseas? Call it a hunch .. but I doubt it. You want the American worker to make more money - but you refuse to buy better/more expensive products which support the very items you want (like being paid more).Well...That is part of the reason. ...The need for cheap products is also because wages for half or more of Americans were low, and not keeping up with inflation.

I think it came down to the only way companies could compete with products coming in from overseas was to look for cheap labor. The public let it be known that they would not pay more for a television made in the USA when a cheaper option was available from overseas. Same with shoes, toasters, etc. Name brands here had no choice but to use cheaper labor overseas.I disagree to an extent. I feel it is the Corporate Executives who saw cheap labor as a way to maximize profits for the top people in all of these companies.
Why should the CEO make hundreds to thousands of times more money than the base level workers?
Why couldn't the MIddle class blue collar worker continue to get paid $25 to $35 an hour building automobiles? GM and FORD were earning LOADS of money back in the day with higher wage with their employees. The corporate elite started to wage war against Unions because THEY wanted cheaper labor. IF things were made in the USA, the Consumer would pay the prices of those products...especially when products would be limited to be imported from other countries.
Mcdonalds is a perfect example of how prices hardly go up on the product yet employees are paid well.
In Denmark Mcdees employees are paid $21+ an hour. Here in USA less than half of that. Price difference on a extra value meal? About $1 to $1.30 higher.
Sandwiches are about 40 to 75 cents higher.
I don't know the costs or benefits of an employee in Denmark vs an employee here. This could certainly play into it.I disagree to an extent. I feel it is the Corporate Executives who saw cheap labor as a way to maximize profits for the top people in all of these companies.

What about the dry cleaner? Is that essential? If you can’t pick up your clothes or get dirty ones cleaned, do you just buy more???... but you can’t because retail stores are closed. What if you work in a doctor’s office and your copy machine or printer breaks? Is that essential? No doctor’s instructions, test results, or payment receipts. So many other professions that support the essential services, it’s impossible to list. It’s all interconnected, so one non-essential business shutdown might impact other ESSENTIAL businesses. Do you shut down food packaging or bottling plants? Shutting down tech companies might mean no parts for essential services. I just think it’s a big mistake.
I do know a US auto union employee gets like $80.00 per vehicle to put lug nuts on a wheel. Not sure how that's cheap labor. Most 'American' vehicles are not made in the US. They are made in North America, which is not limited to the US. My Tundra was built by American hands in Texas and the majority of the money for that vehicle goes into those American hands. Things are made in the US .. people refuse to buy them, they want cheaper items. How often do you analyze where products are made before buying them. How often do you buy 'American' items over foreign items?
Only four, and THEY didn't do that until mid February (after COVID19 was reported)Apparently they had enough knowledge to dump their stocks before informing the public.
But we are not responsible for the public's SAFETY.The media's broadcasting licenses are all subject to: "the public interest, convenience, and necessity."
It's a moral imperative, and they're failing miserably.
There are hundreds of stories out there at any given moment.I think you mean: as soon as your editors could no longer ignore it.
That's happening here. Curfew for a lot of businesses is 8pm to 5am which is killing a big part of the DJ business because a lot of events DJs do go past 8pm. The thing is not having large crowds gathering. That's why the limit for a crowd is 50 people and only for certain types of events. A lot of places are not even open.
It's a possibility one of my DJ friends a great guy has contacted the virus. Someone posted online that they hope he gets well to make the Weequahic Park Festival. To hell with that! I want him to get well. There may not be a festival anywhere around this summer.
Emergency workers still get paid, along with police. The schools maybe closed but the workers are still getting paid. Don't know how long that will last. Teachers are still working at home. So it's not a paid vacation. Not much is not being affected but there are some. The thing is your president said in 2 weeks things will return to normal. I seriously doubt that. Your president is a *******. He's trying to save face because it's an election year. What part isn't it killing?
Sorry to hear about your friend. Hope he feels better soon.

One thing I found out among other things is they are pushing the deadline back for filing your taxes.

You didn't have to edit anything. Editing doesn't change the facts. I understand you're a fan of his. Too bad. Well also it doesn't change the fact that they cheated to get that clown in office.Edited for language ... this is your warning.
I remember one DJ mentioning his wedding was still a go. Just that the guest list is being cut down to 50 people and I guess whatever money that has been paid to the venue they can keep even though the crowd is smaller now.You missed it. You said the cerfew is killing a big part of the DJ business. What part of the DJ business isn't getting killed?
