Painted my baseplates

Just as a question, how many of you use trusses like this regularly? I have a 10' On Stage setup that I use when I need it. It's compact, portable, etc. Is this easier or harder to use than that? How much can you load them down - will loading the lights on the front pull them over? The On Stage setup can get front heavy with 4 scanners and a vertigo. How long does it take to set one up? I also like the black bottoms with the silver truss.

We use the truss at all of our mid size-larger events....here's some pictures of some of our smaller truss setups. To answer your question about tipping over 3x3 base plates are essential. The last picture shows our trussing before we upgraded to the 3X3 plates and used the 2X2's. We would strap it down to make sure it was safe. There is a lot more work involved in trussing , especially if you use the large truss we use. That's why we never bring trussing to the anything but the mid to large sized events.

They must be. Nobody has fly points with eyebolts on the side. There's unnecessary stress on the bolt and the cabinet's wood.

The cabinet must have internal bracing with the manufacturer's flyware.

I know of one permanent installation where the speaker fell apart on a Friday afternoon about 3 pm when there wasn't too many people in the bar. Can you imagine if that had been on a Saturday night?
