ODJTer's I miss... where are they now? Come on back!

Roll call check in, LOL... Dan and Joe are correct...I come in and check in once and awhile, but am no longer a daily reader or contributor. Had a wake up call that I was spending too much time on the forums, and gigging 6-7 days a week, I had an epiphany to concentrate more on DOING this than talking about doing this. When I stumble and need a question answered, I would still come here and ask....or if I have something to contribute, such as my latest essay I posted in the karaoke forum, that would be of industry interest, I would post here. Other than that, I am laying low online...although I do moderate a quiet karaoke forum at a small DJ website.

I love all the "handles." Kinda reminds me of the CB craze back in the 70's.

I have been here since Jon K. and Dan first started, and I have to say, this place has kept true to it's word for being a great place for people to get along.
It is still different than the rest.

The pub is the best. The pics from Hawaii, Tucks new attitude. (this one has really had staying power!) I love when Jon was persoally inviting everyone with one of his famous phone calls!

and Steve Miller's practical aproach to everyday life. I love this place.
 
Papa, since I'm in a cranky mood...I'm almost tempted to start a thread of people who went away and shouldn't have come back or be allowed back in.....But, I'll be nice and keep those deep, dark secrets to myself!:sqwink:

Oh wait...half of them are Bose/Dynacord pissing contests.

Many of those on that list I see on other boards, everybody seems to have a "home" board and some still check around. Dave Miller and Charlene (SayHi2ThisFemaleDJ) I see at NJDJN meetings. Rictrax has gotten busier and is simply focusing on his business (but does post elsewhere). I remember Scotch saying he was taking an online break because he was too busy also.

How about Dan Mckay? He came here and disrespected us and was then shown the door. I can still remember his famous last words, "This place is like the land of the toy misfits." Funny thing is he want to be one. lol

Actually, Mr. McKay walked out on his own two feet.

He was warned (again) about something he posted. He started getting arrogant about it and was put on Read Only status to shut him up. It was then that he went to his user CP and changed his email address to a fake.

That placed him in the awaiting email confirmation usergroup by default. Since the email was bogus, his account was in limbo. He never returned.
