Nice Flicr slideshow creator...

Does anyone know of an application whether online or something I can purchase that would allow me to create a photo gallery such as this that I can create using Splashcast, but without the advertisements?

I've looked at a few of the applications here, but I'm not sure how difficult those are to create/maintain/update.

I could use the slideflicr application, but then I'd have to create seperate pages for each event. I'd rather just keep things neat and clean on one page.

Google Picasa - the slide show would be hosted on their servers too so you will get a fast page load time.

Picasa is free and you can upgrade for $50 - I always upgrade with almost anything Google ;)

I couldn't verify if I could make it look like my splashcast player or not? Many shows all in one player. You're positive it will do that?

Hank, do you know if the .xml can be tweaked to create 'next' buttons? It would be nice to click to the next pic without first hitting the scroll bar.

It's still a work in progress, but so far so good!

I don't think so. The XML can be edited only within the limits of the SWF file.
Anything that isn't already an option, can't be added.

However, if you disable all check boxes in the options, the album will open without automatically switching to the next picture and without the left and right arrows. You simply mouse over the thumbnails and click to view the photo.

Hank,

Just so that I'm doing this correctly.........if I want to add an album, I have to save and upload everything again, plus use the new code within my page? Even if I save over the top of my original file? That's kinda cumbersome and time consuming.

The embed code in your page will never need to be changed. Any changes you make to the gallery will show wherever the SWF is embedded. Just make sure you always name it the same when you upload all the new files. :sqwink:

Have you tried MS Powerpoint? You may already have it on your MS Office Suite. You can create a slide show. Time each slide and how it opens not to mention adding music.

I don't want to make a slideshow --- I need a photo gallery tool. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks Hank. Again, I'm learning with it, but I'm getting varied results.

Coffeecup takes feedback seriously, so don't be surprised if they have a new improved version soon. Updated software is free for life when you purchase a program.

That's not exactly true........I own one now that the programmer has already said that when it goes to a certain version, there will be a price to upgrade. :sqwink:

Wow, that's the first I heard of that.

I've upgraded at least three times since I purchased a bundle four years ago.

It says right on this page..."Buy our Software and Get Free Upgrades & Support for Life!"

What program are you going to have to pay for?:sqconfused:
