I have been very satisfied with the sound of the New/Partly Refurbished 3 Way System. 3 separate stereo signals coming from 3 separate amps makes for outstanding clarity of sound. I did Karaoke with it last night and folks were awed with the full bodied sound.

Canute is that just one side? Why the unusual shape? Is their some design technique that some one shared an Ancient Chinese Secret? Just an unusual look to the shapes etc. Where did you come up with the design and shapes?

Yes that is one side. Tweeters are on a speaker stand in the back. Shape of what the Speakers? Tweeters in separate cabinets Midrange in a Cabinet that fits and scoops come that way.

The tops wide short stance just looks unusual and then the mid horn also its sitting on top of the two subs right?

The Midrange sits on top of the two Bass cabinets. Tweeters are on a speaker stand/tripod in the back. The unusual symmetry of the four tweeters is an error that will eventually be fixed. The two EV Baby Cheeks need to go up a couple of inches to centerline of the two horizontal horns.

Ok I know these were home built... but, why so many tweeters in one box? Why not have one maybe two in a smaller box that but with bigger horns instead of a bunch of horns.... maybe I don't understand sound but.... a bunch of little speakers don't quite add up to one good one do they?

I had never seen a mid speaker with such minimal box either.

All the tweeters and Midranges have Horn Drivers. No internal acoustics are needed. They can operate without cabinets if need be!

There are four for a reason. All are 8 ohms each. Two pairs each in series = 16ohms then each pair run in parallel = 8 ohms total load to amp. If one blows I still have a working pair operating plus an odd one (Which would not work since it is in series).
Same as the bass cabinets two 16 ohms run in parallel = 8 ohms. If one blows then the other keeps on working but gets louder!

BTW The Bose 802s can be substituted for any one of the pairs but can also be used as Full range in a "fill" situation. The Peavey Amp PV1500 is wired and configured for use, right there in the rack, at a moments notice.
