If you have to rely on a free web host to promote your product/service, the potential client already knows what they are dealing with...
As mentioned in another thread here, you have to spend money, to make money.
I do think most clients understand what youtube is. I'm not saying it is the best way for someone selling a service, but I do think potential clients are perfectly happy to go there and look.
Look at it this way: If you put it on your own site, people who specifically come to your site looking for it will see it. If someone sees it on youtube while browsing, they may become your customer "accidentally", by running across your video.
In a perfect world, maybe you would do both. I do know that I have had 2 clients ask me if I have anything to look at on youtube. Well, potential clients, anyway; I didn't book either one. But I imagine that PLENTY of DJ's ARE doing this if clients are ASKING ME if I have anything on youtube to see.
That is all I am saying.
